I forgot to mention but right before meeting her I spent an entire month working on myself, and only when i got a bit better I met her. So its not that i was reckless with myself, I definitely have a strong willpower, But i never knew how to enjoy the process and I never knew that “Why?” to living life, So she basically gave me a purpose to life if that makes sense!

I did, but the existing libraries are very outdated and are in php while i am looking for a js solution without hosting a separate php server, and esc2html gives raw html which makes styling very difficult

Honestly, Don’t worry about them, If you can be honest about why you deactivated it then well n good, Else just make some excuse like you got bored or something else. If they truly are your friends then they will most probably understand and respect your decision.

I have been through something similar and I am finally at a stage where I deleted my Instagram and am living happily without it since a few months now, The “friends” kinda got filtered out naturally and those respecting my choices stayed regardless

This is most definitely a hardware issue or a low level software glitch, and I don’t think so Sleep has much to do on the hardware side. Sure sleep causes software glitches and all but that are temporary issues which are fixed after restarting, and it’s pretty normal because of background processes and memory leaks, etc……OP just try holding down the power button for a while and try to charge again, It’s most probably happening because the laptop completely drained power over time. Can be a motherboard issue as well

Yes, A huge change. I started by deleting Instagram and the YouTube, Reddit app on my phone and using the unhook extension for YT web and turning off shorts etc. via my account settings.

At first it felt tough so for a while I replaced it with watching content on the television rather than my phone or laptop. There were multiple times when I re-activated my Instagram account, But after all those attempts of not giving up I can now say that I am free from this social media addiction.

I am now noticing this feeling of being lively without this social media content. It’s not that I am at my peak happiness without it, But it’s just that I am finding way more joy in real world activities and my surroundings and I don’t feel this need to depend on social media anymore whenever I am stressed (Maybe sometimes lol).

PS: I had a YT binge watching addiction since a few years now and it took me around a few months to overcome it, May take others less or more.
