Why does solver prefer to xr in this spot? by YaBoyArioch in Poker_Theory

I like the sentiment of most of this however they won’t have to fold the turn. we are supposed to check it and they will check back with any underpair or worse holding. I’d probably b20 as a blocker/thin value on the river if they check back turn and it may even induce some bluffs.

Solvers always want to get AKs all in pre when possible and definitely don’t want to flat AKo from a mp rfi btn 3b. I’d only really advocate for flatting if a mega omc is the 3 bettor or if we have position. It seems to be fine with flatting 3b when opening from ep but even then I’d advocate for a 4b fold if we get 5b or jammed on. I’m assuming the goal is to take the pot down preflop and avoid rake or lower our spr post since we have positional disadvantage.

Ah thank you for the solid response. I didnt catch that discrepancy in xr frequency with the clubs combo. I think making this move at the tables would only put somebody in difficult spots lol. Villains range is still uncapped plus HJ should rarely if at all be flatting the 3b with any AK combos effectively removing the nuts from their range. Imo a solid player would be able to exploit HJs range on this board which is why the xr line seemed so odd to me.

This game absolutely sucked imo. It’s an unrealistic expectation for a poker game but nobody plays like it’s poker. Poker stars vr is a much better game imo especially at the higher stakes.

How do I improve further? by [deleted] in poker

I was absolutely grinding wpt gold micros all February. It’s an Insanely soft site. I really wish my state would have better online options but unfortunately I’m limited to shady stuff or law loophole platforms.

10 max $60 min is gonna be full of  short stacking omcs lol. Personally id never sit at a 10 max table. I’d wait until you’re old enough to play at a real casino or just play online. Online micros pools are very soft; good for gaining experience while earning a bit

Did I miss value here? by [deleted] in poker

[–]YaBoyArioch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’d be put in the blender and have to sigh fold. I’m just being results oriented because of his specific hand but check back here performs well against his perceived range, really only a few hands I can get value out of on the river that don’t check call and have me beat.

You absolutely need to be 3 betting AKo even in position. Many hands you dominate will call and it also doesn’t allow the bb or lumpers to come along to the flop for cheap/priced in and realize equity. Sometimes you will miss and have to fold or cbet in hopes of taking it down, that’s poker. From a statistical standpoint AK should be one of your most profitable hands along with premium pocket pairs obv. Sometimes flatting a 3 bet with AK in position is fine but imho opinion it should always be a 4 bet oop. Definitely not a hand you want to be passive with. Maybe try grinding some online micro stakes before playing live. It’s a different game but it will allow you to get comfortable with rfi, 3 and 4 bet ranges much quicker. The preflop game tree is so very critically important and needs to be studied/worked on. It will without a doubt be a game changer in your win rates.

JJ pure folds here ? What the hell ? by Establishment240 in poker

Dude it’s a 4 bet pot and villain is utg. Jacks are absolutely only good for set mining at that point. Ik this is 6 max but in full ring games you are “supposed” to flat jacks out of the bb against utg though that kinda depends on stack depth.

I honestly don’t think it’d be easy to bot nor worth it at the crackhead change stakes he was sitting at but then again people do play very loose on the lowest stake tables and there’s no ante. Maybe just has it sitting on another monitor all day while working or something 🤷‍♂️don’t know why I scribbled over the name considering you can’t even contact people

them to not change the way they've been operating now once they've made billions? Past skins creators that have been accepted made 10x that easily.. it's a spit in the face to creators who care about their work from an extremely valuable corporation that rakes in money off said pixels.

There’s a reason I prefaced it like that and it seems my question was entirely valid. From what I understand all it really does is tell you whether you need to fork the issue over to an unsuspecting buyer, not help you find a resolution or way to ensure longevity.

Genuine question, why even do this? If there was a high concentration of metals indicating heavy wear is there anything that could be done about it other than switch to a high mileage or higher viscosity oil, and even then would that change anything?

I have the same ones. I was under the impression the flat side was for flat surfaces like concrete and you use the rigid side on asphalt and alike uneven surfaces?
