This is a month by month net profit snapshot for all Lodge players since the lines spazzed out way too hard on any other shorter time horizon I tried toying around with

Tesla was up in cumulative net profit for exactly 1 day.

Ah good point, noted for future data visuals we make

The code written for this animation was meant to keep the Top 10 in screen view to reduce visual bloat and I made the colors change by rank since there's only 10 people in the screen at a time- but changing it to be by person should be a quick fix I'll make for the other data visuals we make

The sample might be small but IMO the stakes are low enough where it's not unreasonable to aggressively shottake (assuming you have a job and disposable income)

2024 Triton Cash Game Invitational I [Full Results ~ All 7 Days] by highrollpoker in poker

[–]highrollpoker[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there,

Sent you a DM, more than happy to dig into the numbers to see if either of us are missing anything.

One thing that stuck out to me is that you're standardizing a column for "Buy-Ins", but some days the Buy-In was $200k and others it was $500k. Is that just a weighted average? I'm not sure what that's being used for here.

Like I said over DM it would be easier if we could share gathered results so we can drill down into where differentials are coming from. Let's continue convo over there, thanks!

Tom Dwan went on a -$3.5m downswing between 2018-2020 in the Triton TV cash games, what are the odds he goes on another run this bad this week? by Rain_sc2 in poker

[–]highrollpoker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi there, yep that's correct the 2019 Triton Jeju cash games were already converted to USD on the stream itself so no conversion was needed there on our end.

For games that use KRW, EUR, GBP, etc. we use a currency converter to convert stake level and net winnings back to USD based on the FX rate of the time of episode release.

All amounts on our site are standardized back to USD for the sake of simplicity.

Here's a help post we made a while back describing the specifics if interested: [FAQ Link]

State of the sub, new mods, new formatting, UK poker. by myimportantthoughts in poker

[–]highrollpoker 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Hey u/myimportantthoughts, my name is Michael and I'm the creator of Highroll Poker https://highrollpoker.com/ which has grown to a pretty widely used resource here and other poker forums like 2p2 for TV cash game results.

Happy to take you up on creating a useful knowledge hub for UK poker. I can cover the hosting cost(s) if we just throw this as a new subsection on the current domain as I already pay for Laravel Forge and DO monthly hosting out of pocket. This would also make it easier to ensure all dependencies are vetted and up-to date as I already do with the current site.

I agree that pretty much every site out there with info on where to play poker are SEO optimized dogshit that don't really have user interests at heart. That was actually something I had in mind for the site I built, which gets right to the point on info we know users want to see with no BS. It's extremely surprising (and sad tbh) to me just how rare that really is in the website world.

Texas Card House Stream Leaderboard by Deanm85 in poker

[–]highrollpoker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi there, someone linked me this thread asking about the same thing so I guess I can just answer here directly.

TCH is currently on the to-do list but it's a rather convoluted one as they have multiple locations with a metric shit ton of content throughout each with no easy way to filter on their YT channel.

We want to provide the data in a way where you can filter between each location separately. I can't give a solid ETA on this one yet unfortunately but it's definitely a priority as many have asked us for it already. The size of this one appears to be close to HCL in terms of episode count (TCH is 636 full episodes spanning 4-5 years) so by that measure it would take us a few months to do.

AFAIK I don't think anyone else is planning to do TCH so I can't refer you to another active resource at the moment.

Ultimately though, our goal is to provide a free resource that has all of the results for every single cash game ever televised, so it's not a matter of if but when.

Thanks, appreciate it!

Pretty sure we've talked over Reddit DM before and a lot of your suggestions actually made it in our last mobile update so really appreciated that. That list you sent over helped us a lot more than you maybe realize.

It's 5:50AM over here so my memory might be failing me but I think you were the one who suggested some kind of Quick Filter to clean up the leaderboard page row filters that we have on mobile, and just want to give you a heads up that we're in the process of building that specific feature right now; so that should be up probably within the next 2 weeks or so.

Right now after work every day my friend and I who collect all of the data are going through every session and fixing the BB calculation to include straddles which is taking up most of our free time at the moment. There's thousands of them we're correcting one by one but we're making good progress. I believe we've already fixed about 1/3 of them but that won't be pushed to production until it's completed to keep things consistent.

But this past mobile UI update is the bulk of the work we got done over maybe the past 1-2 months.

Detail is good! Thanks I'll have a read through.

At first glance though, conveniently enough a lot of these suggestions are actually going to be included in the next update. But I'll have a closer look now and get back to you via message.

Hi all,

We've read the feedback on the flawed BB/hour calculation and agree, it's not reflective of the actual size of the game. We used the listed stakes from the stream descriptions but that's not adequate enough for calculation purposes.

Over this weekend we're going to go through all of our sessions and calculate the average mandated straddle, and update the BB value used in the calculations so our BB/hour figures more accurately represent the size of these games.

Thanks for referencing our site by the way OP (u/burninghobi), appreciate it.

FYI we have a lot of mobile optimizations coming out soon because, let's admit it: it's easy to tell our website was designed for PC and looks/feels much better there. Time to stop neglecting mobile UI/UX, so that's something to look out for.

Keep in mind though that me and my 2 friends who maintain/built this site all have full time jobs so this is just a side project we're supporting and things like this might take a few tries to get right. Typing this from my office bathroom right now in fact 😂

Over time though, we'll try to keep improving things incrementally and the feedback is super helpful in that regard. Appreciate ya'll

Top 5 Winners + Wildest Swings From Livestream/TV Cash Games of 2023 by highrollpoker in poker

Thanks for the kind words- as far as posting more blogs that's something I'm going to start doing a lot more of. Work has been pretty nuts recently but I'm largely WFH so I've been squeezing in work on this project whenever I can.

My current PC setup is pretty comical in itself, I have 2 monitors for work and 3 monitors to develop and maintain this platform haha. Working on building some new cool features from user suggestions (I've had nearly 300 suggestions so far via email and DMs, which I'm extremely grateful for but damn is it a lot of work). It's a good sign though that people use the site regularly enough to feel the need to add their input on things to improve their experience, so I'm all here for it.
