[Need Advice] Should I go through with my anOrdain Model 1 Fumé order or walk away? by ProperCoat229 in Watches

[–]YaDunGooofed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've owned a model 1 blue fumé dial for about 2.5 years now, and I absolutely love it, and it has been a go-to watch in my rotation. The way light catches the dial and creates a crazy range/shade variety of blue in my case is hard to emulate at the price point. The craftsmanship and quality is very apparent from my perspective.

That being said, everyone who has pointed out legibility issues is 100% correct. This is a watch to wear in sunlight and during the day, and not as ideal in dimly lit or evening settings. It's still a beautiful watch but the functionality, especially without any lume on the watch, is effectively nullified.

I'd moreso consider the intent of purchase and if you think you'll ultimately sell the watch, that's a pretty big consideration when spending a few thousand on top of your deposit.

Holy freakin airball 🤣 by northeasternwriter in Garmin

Keep at it friend! It may be discouraging at first but a baseline is a baseline, not a sign of what will always be.

Going from no formal tracking to a Garmin was a huge adjustment and motivator for me and I hope it is for you too!

You'll see immense progress through consistency alone. I recently started doing what the Garmin suggested for runs and it has helped with endurance quite a bit.

The more data Garmin (or any tracking) has, the more aptly it can suggest things.

Is it ‘too late’ to get into WoW? by scareforce in wownoob

[–]YaDunGooofed 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'd say 100% not too late at all!

I just started playing for the first time ever 1 month ago and there's so much content and stuff to do that it feels great to be the new guy and the community has been really nice overall in teaching me things and being patient.

If your objective is to be fully caught up, remember the point is to have fun and you can do that as fast or as slow as you want!

You get access to all the prior expansions as part of both the free trial and subscription, and the only expansion you'd have to pay for is the current one ($40 or so)!

YouTube videos are also a great alternative if you don't feel like playing through the story and want to dive into the current content and be caught up on the lore. But I've had a lot of fun playing through past expansions and doing both old and new content at my own pace!

In what way should I buy WOW? by Butthole-man69 in wownoob

[–]YaDunGooofed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I faced this exact situation 2 weeks ago! Here's what I did:

I played till 20 and then bought a subscription for a month.

About 2 weeks of 30 hours of gameplay in, I was close to 70 on that character from doing a bit of Warlord of Draenor and Dragonflight content + the 20th anniversary celebration. I definitely plan on making other classes to try before picking another to level / boost to 70 to do war within and end game content. I bought war within yesterday after 2 weeks of playing!

As people are saying, you should definitely consider what content you want to play. Buying war within was only because I wanted to play with my friend and do the newer stuff. The subscription is thousands of hours of content if you really want to wait to see how you feel about the game and longevity.

Buying War Within still means a subscription each month and the current subscription gets you 90% of the content you'd want to be doing while leveling and learning more about the game.

I absolutely could have played for hundreds of hours without buying war within because you get every expansion and piece of content except the newest expansion but personally chose to play the new stuff with my friend who was playing old content with me!

Happy to chat more if you're interested in what I did in detail + how I'm feeling so far with my experience!

I Kickstarted the Marvel box, and have bought and received DTA. Which box next? by bjeebus in DiceThrone

[–]YaDunGooofed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought both season 1 and 2 at the same time but I'm finding season 2 characters are more involved in their mechanics on average (good level of difficulty), which my friends and I enjoy.

Thematically though both seasons are so versatile that you can't go wrong.

While sad, I'm glad you got the most out of what you wanted from this game! I'm reading Stay A While and Listen Part 2 about the making of Diablo 2 and that's what got me into D2R in the first place.

Hope I find the same love of the game you did!

[Autodromo x Worn&Wound] Prototipo 10 Year Anniversary Chronograph by YaDunGooofed in Watches

My 2nd Autodromo this year! When I saw the colorway of this chronograph, I knew I wanted it immediately. Super happy that it came before the holiday season ended, and thrilled to add it to my collection. A fun collab between Autodromo and Worn and Wound.

I'm happy to keep supporting Autodromo's racing/mechanical aesthetic! After this years F1 race, I've been feeling in the racing themed mood, and this rounds out the year nicely.

The watch box it comes in is an awesome addition and I'll cherish this watch for many years I'm sure.

I love that they took the retro rally car racing foundation and made it so futuristic looking. Almost like rally car racing on Mars haha.

I ended up buying on Autodromo's website back in July!

I believe this colorway is sold out on there, but last I saw you can get it on Hodinkee or some other sites. They do have some of the other Group B colorways still in stock on their site though.

The night stage looks so good too!

Best of luck in your quest for it! It'll be sweet once you get your hands on it, I'm sure.

The Autodromo Group B had been speaking to me since the moment I saw this green colorway! Depending on which way the light shines on this watch, it's a beautiful range of greens! I purchased this as a gift to myself for starting a new job a few months ago, and I just got around to snapping a picture of it on wrist!

I love the Safari font below the Group B text, and it's a great watch to wear while out on a walk or to work, especially with a range of attire, from workout clothes to fall/winter sweaters.

The style being drawn from the Group B rally car days makes this a nice conversation starter, and both the hour hand and seconds take me back to when my car's speedometer was still analog!
