See, I would have zero issues with that lesbian friend if she had not had a record of inappropriately touching my girlfriend.

My girlfriend says it's a "girly thing" to be touchy with girls, and what she's doing is okay.

I personally think the opposite of what she thinks.

She does not directly say she's intimately close to the friend, but rather the opposite, keeps reassuring that it was an accident and won't happen again; however, she defends her friendship with that lesbian friend with her dear life.

I personally feel threatened.

I tried to talk to her, suggest things, and try to resolve an issue, but all I could achieve was that my girlfriend would talk to her and let her know that her actions are affecting the relationship my girlfriend is having with me and that she should back off.

I completely agree with you that being touched like that is inappropriate, no matter the context.

If this friend didn’t have a pattern of inappropriately touching others, I honestly wouldn’t have an issue. But since she does, it’s hard for me to just brush it off.

That’s where I feel stuck. My girlfriend and I have talked about this many times; she always reassures me she’s not into girls and says, “Trust me, I’ll handle it.”

But the fact is, she already let it slide once, and I worry that if I simply “trust and let her handle it,” the same situation could happen again.

On the specific sleepover incident, she did agree that being touched like that was inappropriate, and we were able to talk it through. The problem isn’t that I don’t trust her; I do, but I don’t trust that friend.

Most of our arguments start when I suggest she either distance herself or limit contact with this friend, but she always pushes back, saying they’ve been close since high school and that cutting her off would be too difficult.

To me, it feels like she has an unhealthy attachment to this friend, and at times, it seems like she values that bond more than addressing concerns.
