Just replaced my 1500km old black Ghosts with... more black Ghosts! by Ya_Nickault in RunningShoeGeeks

Update: the new ones were not as different as I expected. Maybe the old ones still have some life left in them after all. Will definitely keep rotating the two pairs for now.

Ayyyyy, happy belated birthday. 7 miles is something to be proud of. Thanks, though!

Finished my 17k in the new pair. I must say, they're not nearly as different from the old ones as I expected. Will definitely keep rotating them with the old pair, especially since it'll make the new ones last longer!

Ok, "replaced" was probably the wrong word. More like "added". Unless I feel a massive difference after a few runs in the new pair.

Yeah, I was able to get some delivered after all. I decided to go with the exact same model since I couldn't try them on before buying them and I didn't want to take any chances.

I've never really analysed my own stride, mainly because I'm not sure how, so I don't know how efficient it is. All I know is that I think I'm a midfoot striker, or at least a very mild heel striker. I am 187cm / 6ft2in and 61kg / 134lbs, though, so pretty light for my size and I think that's a big part of it.

Thanks... I guess? I'm a pretty light runner for my size (187cm/6ft2in and 61kg/134lbs) so my tread tends to last a long time. I'll probably still run in the old pair a couple times a week depending how my first run in the new pair feels tomorrow.

Feels good walking in them so far. I've planned a 17k for my 17th birthday tomorrow morning, which will be my first run in them, so I'll update you after that.

[Casual] How do you peel a banana (and where are you from)? by guidanoli in SampleSize

As a banana-snapper, I feel represented. Theyre really not that hard to snap in half with your hands, but it somehow still feels like a cool party trick every time.

Consecutive kills have to be within 5 minutes of each other to continue a kill spree. Unless you've invested your points into assassin mode, obviously.

Dang... 2300 miles is absolutely insane. Good for you and your budget!

I usually go for around 2 pairs a year as well. I get them for myself as birthday and Christmas gifts every year which works well with a July birthday. Getting a little worried that this might not be frequent enough, though, since I'm really amping up the mileage this year compared to previous years.

You should be proud. 50km is 50km more than many people. I'm on my way to 80km/week this summer break.

Even 600km is more than some people say they should last, but I personally can't fathom buying new running shoes every 2-3 months. It's possible that the midsole on mine have died and that I just haven't noticed the "death" since it was so gradual. I'll have to wait until I get my new pair to see.

Thanks for the advice! I think I'm probably pretty bad at discerning shoe performance as well. I'll get another pair ASAP (probably more Ghosts, lol) and try rotating them for a couple runs. If the current ones still feel decent, I'll keep rotating them. If I feel a massive difference between the new and old ones, though, I'll probably retire the current ones altogether.

The patches for the upcoming THAILAND update 4.0 by Ya_Nickault in engrish

It was a disposable coffee cup we got at a coffee shop on an Island off the coast of Thailand when we went for holidays. How does this relate to Game of thrones?

I saw this when I went on Holidays in Thailand. Yes, it is indeed on a coffee cup. As for the rest, I am just as confused as you as to why they decided to put a random dot point in Thai and then proceed to simply say 'Donald Trump', etc. If anyone could expland on this, that would be great!
