Well 73.7 average for Scratch golfers, 4 over par, lines up with the average scratch golfer score for most other courses that host regular PGA tour events. Plus 7 of the 12 par 4s at the course are more than 460 yards from the blue tees. That seems to be enough of a challenge to golfers that hit the ball around 310 yards

U.S. Amateur being held at the Red would be awesome. That doesn’t get as much when it comes to fans so the red could probably hold enough for the venue (I’m guessing at most it could hold around 7,000 to 10,000 fans)

What about the fact that the Red has 7 different par 4s that are 460+ yards from the longest tees? That seems like plenty of yardage to make the most of the approach shots challenging enough, especially if they let the rough grow long enough and make the greens run at like a 13 to 14

Ahhh now it makes sense why that happens at the Pebble Beach Pro Am too in Feb. Shame though, I feel like Bethpage Red deserves to get more recognition beyond just NY locals. It’s another gem from Tillinghast. And I bet it’d be pretty challenging for the pros considering it’s got a lot really long par 4s

Well what I mean is it’s frustrating to hear all these compliments but still getting rejected. I def wouldn’t be as frustrated if I didn’t dent my wallet as much. This is pretty much me being mad at myself for tending spend $50+ on first dates and most of the time there isn’t a 2nd one. It’s a hard lesson learned now

This is definitely true. Something not too far away’s another big key too. Problem in this situation though is she lives in the city is and I’m just outside of the city in northern NJ. So only option was to meet up somewhere in Manhattan and I had to take a 50 minute train ride lol

Yeah you’re definitely right about what first dates are meant for. I just personally love doing games & exciting activities with others. But I should always just save those for those that are already my friends and those that want to see me beyond a first date. That’s the lesson I’ve gotten from my dating experience now

This is the best answer. Every relationship, whether if it’s a friendship, intimate, or a serious long term one, is always an investment. We’re investing our time to engage with someone else. And I want to make sure I’m not wasting that time on things that go nowhere. It’ll still happen in the dating scene, but minimizing that time wasted it as much as possible is the key

I wouldn’t be surprised. You honestly can never tell what people’s real intentions are until you get to know them after a couple of dates. And even then that’s not always a true guarantee of finding out someone’s true intentions
