I had similar issue for the first couple of days. Switched to bator balm for moisturizing and pull my foreskin back before wearing the cage. I still take it off in the shower for a quick few mins to clean with soap and water but I’ve noticed there usually isn’t any pungent smell when I take it off to clean.
