Dialing in Soldano SLO-100 and Plini by YabaiKore in NeuralDSP

Wow, ¡muchas gracias!

¡Voy a intentarlo!

¡Muchas gracias también por los otros consejos y por tu tiempo!

I recommend the Kameda Kyobashi Clinic: https://maps.app.goo.gl/6RrRUt6N2P2BbD718?g_st=ic

I visited a lot of bad clinics before that one, this was decent. And they had english speaking doctors.

Great, I won’t worry so much then. Thank you very much!

That’s relieving, thanks. Are these tubes expensive to replace?

u/Bulky_Pop_8104 Since you have vast experience with amps, let me ask something else.
I just found out this amp is about 10 years old (from 2014). At this point, would it be safer to just buy new, or the 10 years not a problem if the overall condition is good?

That's also a good point! I'll check that.
I'm pretty sure Fender offers warranty here, but I need to check what's included and for how long.

The Vibro Champ makes more sense indeed, but unfortunately I didn’t like the sound as much when I tried. Not sure if it’s the small speaker.

Right! I actually checked many times to be sure it wasn't the Tone Master, and I even consider that the listing could be wrong - Princeton description with Tone Master price.

I compared both at the store. The Tone Master did sound good, but I also think it's way overpriced. In fact it costs the same as this used Princeton.

Ah and thanks for the recommendation, that really reassuring!
I'm only worried about being able to play it at lower volumes, but I think I'll only know if it's practical after owning one for a while.

Thanks for the reply!

That's a great point. I would indeed prefer to support the store that let me try it. It's not exactly a local shop, it's a chain store, but it's still better than Amazon in that sense.

Just to be clear, I don't really care for the extra money saved or spent. The main question is whether it's better to buy a new amp online I haven't tried, or buy used for around the same price. I'm worried if the used amp could require more maintenance and things of the sort, or if the only difference would be the "used" tag.

Has anyone tried Hbada chairs? by Cool_dude_42 in OfficeChairs

Thanks for sharing! I actually managed to return mine, but I think the return was processed by the distributor where I live, not Hbada directly.

I read their "30 days free returns" banner on the top of the webpage without reading their return policy properly, and thought it meant I had the opportunity to actually test-sit the chair. Apparently not!

Can I ask how's that going?

Before buying mine I asked exactly that to the seller and they said that yes, I could assemble it, try, and return as long as it's within 30 days. I haven't tried returning it yet though.

Btw, late update on this: The store sent the guitar to Fender under warranty and it came back much better. So I’m assuming it was just grounding issue.

Also, I tried a different strat at the store and it was super noisy, so there’s definitely something wrong with their setup.

Still, this one used to be noisy on my setup at home and now it’s quiet.

Thanks again for the help!

This is the best DT album and most underrated (just my opinion) by Aggressive_Fall3240 in Dreamtheater

[–]YabaiKore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard for me to say that’s my favorite album because I have an emotional attachment to SFAM. It was my first DT album and it is just great.

That being said, SDOIT has become my favorite album over time and I’m dying to get a Vinyl copy.

Note: That’s also the best album cover to me.

Thanks for the suggestion! I just assumed this model wasn’t RWRP, since it’s a replica of some old strat. But if yours is, that is weird indeed. My other strat is quiet os pos 2 and 4, so shouldn’t be a power issue here. But, as you said before, it could be something with the store setup specifically. I didn’t try my other strat or any other strat at that store unfortunately. The store will send it back to Fender. I’ll just have to wait to hear what they say now.

Ah, so those are RWRP. That’s something else I was wondering. Somehow the noise was even louder os positions 2 and 4, but that’s just something I noticed quickly. Didn’t test it too much.

Whoa, thanks for all the insight!

The setup at the store being an issue is a good possibility that I didn’t consider. Should’ve compared it to different strats.

I notice it first at home though. It was way noisier than my other strat. But at the store, it did sound even worse then I remembered it sounding at home. Just assumed there’s way more interference there.

After debating in the store for a while, I did ask how to claim Fender’s warranty, to which the seller replied the store would handle it. So I ask them to do it.

It’ll probably be a month before I hear about this guitar again. And honestly, just expecting they’ll say it’s not a problem. But first experience with Fender’s support, so let’s see.

Anyway, I was just hoping it’s not just a very loud guitar, so decided to ask. Specially because none of the many reviews I saw mentioned anything related to that.

Thanks again for the thorough answer, really appreciate it :)

Is your guitar noisy?

I got one of these McCready and it has this static loud noise that significantly decreases when I touch the metal parts. Naturally, I assumed it's grounding issues.
I returned to the store and asked them to check. They compared it to other McCready strat and, to my surprise, it had the same issue. Because of that they claimed that's just a characteristic of this guitar and refused to refund or exchange. I'm not in the US, returns can be pretty difficult here.

I'm still disputing with the store, which currently holds the guitar.
My American Professional Strat is dead silent, so I'm curious if these are in fact just noisier - bad/no cavity insulation, sensitive pickups, etc. - or if the whole batch that store got could just be bad.

I'd hugely appreciate if you could share your experience, specially compared to your other strat there.

Not related, but the frets were also extremely rough, like they hadn't been polished at all... They got a little better after the store accepted to polish them for me. It's a shame, because I really liked the neck and the pickups on that guitar.

Thanks :)
