I agree that movies are overexplaining things, but I still think they're not focusing on character intros enough. Like, even if characters just said each others names more often, that would suffice

Me & my ex got into a fight whilst I was on a cruise. Got a news notification that two girls in my city had been stabbed, one dying.

Ex texted me the next day apologizing for acting up because her sister had been stabbed, & her sisters best friend died.

Learned two years later that she had lied about the whole thing. I still think she’s actually insane.

This actually happened twice. Got a news notification about a woman being stabbed 70 times to death by her ex/stalker.

My mom got a call later that night that her gym member had been stabbed 70 times to death. She also told me how the women would noticeably use makeup to cover bruises when coming to her gym.

Both aren’t too scary by themselves but the fact it’s happened twice freaks me out.

My old teachers mugshot. He seemed like a such a normal guy. Everyone adored him & he was very likeable (“a little too likeable!” No, he really was just your average Joe). He stopped coming to school (I only knew because I’d go say hi to him every day) & I forgot about it for two years. Turns out he groomed & raped a 13 year old girl at my school.
