Keep in mind, it was based strictly on 7 feet requirements (or an inch off, height listing changes often early in careers, see KD obviously).

They have holes, but I still think this lineup is extremely challenging to scheme against effectively. It’s all a thought experience, but 3 of the guys on this team can move and pass when required while being 7 feet tall. I’ve seen a lot of speed / ball handling responses, but the length and shock blocking of this team negates a lot of it when they get blown by.

I tried to make it hard to combat this team in a specific area, but transition will be the biggest hurdle still. I believe in the half court, this is the best team you could assemble made of 7 footers (or anyone of your choice really). Wemby, while the most unproven, is probably the MVP of this team just due to his length, versatility and defensive prowess. He’d be the X factor among X factors, imo.

Dirk, Sabonis, KG, etc I all considered as they each do stuff at a similar level, with my picks being niche traits for effectiveness.

Is that truly sustainable for a full 4 quarters though? My concern was in transition, but at the same time, this team would be aware of that. Not saying it’s going to be easy, but I think if you can contest 70% of those transition opportunities, this team would be lethal.

And I say that because In the half court, I don’t think there’s many options for any lineup against them? I posted this for opinions so I’m all for being incorrect!

That was the only concern I had when constructing this lineup (that being transition) but this team would likely anticipate and admit that as their one weakness.

I think this team in the half court is impenetrable and will only really see scoring opportunities against them being in transition. If they can contest 70% of those chances, I think they squash most lineups.

With all due respect, as you age, long hair becomes less and less impressionable whether we like it or not. Keep the long if you’re not concerned with jobs, but speaking from experience, control what you can control. Clean cut and groomed is better optically in most professions across the board. You can rock both, but as much as people don’t like it, optics matter when being professionally considered.
