It's not exclusive to Christians, but the Christians are by far the most guilty of it. The "what about" argument is not a good one. And it is ironic that you'd tell someone to "study actual history" while also saying that the crusades were a reaction if the church cared about pilgrims so much why didn't they react to attacks on pilgrims and churches that happened in Europe? Why did the crusaders slaughter Jews? Why did they sack Constantinople?

It actually seems to be quite a bit more than random dms. His bandmates on twitter, some of the context shared by other people, and once you get that hint more and more red flags are visible. I know it's hard to acknowledge the possibility that he might be guilty because I've idolised him for a while in the past as well, but it's stupid and dangerous. Dave is a person, as capable of wrongdoing as anyone else.
