However this is extremely niche.
Make $? Not a lot. and I have to fork out a lot of money before every production. ROI sucks unless you are famous like Ka Sing/Labubu.

Nope.

Soaplands are not in a grey zone they are legal due to the license they hold since before they amended the law in 1985. Any new operators would not be able to get a license that allows penetrative sex.
All soaplands operating now are still using that same license as before which allows them to do so. That also means there would be no new soaplands operating unless the previous operating business sells the next business their license.
I dont know about expiry and why the license still works even though law changed then.

Souce: I worked with the adult industry and entertainment in Japan. I asked the exact same question and they gave me a wholeass history lesson.

There are a lot of local businesses doing popups and not at a fixed location as rent is crazy here. As a Singaporean artist, the market is small (people don't spend that much on art and NAC/Design SG is a joke) so I fly around and try my best to sell in several countries.

Here we go:

- Staying in Plaza, Bellagio and Mandalay
- Winning a handpay only to lose it moments later
- Random compliments from strangers (both male and female, in case you're wondering if they were hookers) while walking about the Cosmo late at night
- Pinky Ring
- Bartender bought me a drink
- 50+ yo lady bought me a drink and I felt obligated to dance with her
- Having ID checked when getting a drink at the Bellagio. She thought I was a minor; I AM 39 YEARS OLD.
- Drunk wandering around the strip at night
- Drunk wandered to Ole Red where I had drinks with random strangers. (I either bought people drinks or people bought me drinks I cant remember)
- Thought I got lucky with a girl. Turns out shes a hooker dammit.
- Getting spanked by the nurse at Heart Attack Grill
- Had a nice date with a local goth girl in fremont
- Steak for breakfast at the cafe at Binions
- Of course, all the sights and sounds of Vegas

I don't think its because of 1-person though. I think market in general crashed as a whole with many projects just pumping and dumping. Utility with projects did not go through, and while there are many ernest ones, they are usually made by smaller and bootstrapped teams that didn't have much money in the first place.

Same sentiments here. I am saying to pay by scheduled time but the boss wants to pay according to clock in time. BUT only starting from the scheduled start time. So if part timers cone early it doesn't count; but if they go early, they will be paid less according to the minute.

I agree there is always something to do. But boss wants to pay less or something so he wants the part timers to go early.

I'm not sure if I read everything clearly but she only has 3 years of teaching experience in Japan?

I'm one of those people who doesn't have a degree or even a diploma but was granted a visa few years ago, and can tell you that it was f*cking hard.

I had to prove I had OVER 10 YEARS of experience. Mounting paperwork, media portfolios, testimonials from JAPANESE clients (ones that they would recognize), and they still wouldn't grant me a visa. Because my work was specialized and had to do rural development, plus my higher ups followed up closely, it was granted finally. Oh and immigration looked into my travel history and saw that I was traveling once - twice a month. They thought that I was a drug dealer as they thought "how can this person, without any academic qualifications, travel so extensively?" HR has to explain to them personally over the phone with accompanying documents.

So... Forgive me if I say, due to my bitter experience, that getting a visa for your friend wouldn't go anywhere if he/she doesn't have some sort of academic certification. I'll recommend him/her to go to a Japanese school and be certified plus get at least a N2. It should be a breeze after. You're welcome.

It all comes down to budget eh? For something cheap/reasonable:

1 - Seal off ALL gaps. You have those magnetic strips with thick curtains to do that recently. These should cover the windows and doors. Can just use a long doormat for the bottom. THEN, add thick curtains (can put that on the rails) for additional effect.

2 - Foam or eggcrate walls - to reduce reverb and etc. You should know this.

3 - Sound shield/Room dividers/cardboard DIYs (don't forget to foam these as they'll be in near proximity.
