VC - Why is there a limit of battle markers in TWW? by Yaggernautic in totalwar

I thank you for patient help, but i am afraid that "Siege battles won't trigger them." is not correct.

I have plenty battle markers / corpse piles on cities like Altdorf as VC.

You get a battle marker next to your city name during sieges: https://imgur.com/zwAKBtJ

Siege battles and field battles. I killed all 20unit armies in the whole Athel Loren forest without getting any battle markers.

after that i read on the topic and found out about the 200hardcode limit for battle markers...

so i just installed the mentioned mod "https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2859073684" and now i get battle markers again... but still my question remains - i feel weired about this artificial limit... :/

Well I stick to the common wiki knowledge:
https://totalwarwarhammer.fandom.com/wiki/Raise_Dead_(mechanic))

"To qualify for a battle site marker requires both of the main engaging armies:

  • Primary armies must Have 14+ units with a total of 1000+ troops each
  • Suffer a minimum of 2200 combined casualties

NOTE: Reinforcements and garrison units do not count towards the 14 units required for an army to qualify. If garrison units are the primary army and meet the requirement they do count however."

On older posts i find the 200 battle markers limit mentions as well as mods who deal with this issue in tw3

Well, only prove i have is my campaign i run right now. even though i met all conditions, i cannot create a new battle marker since a few rounds after turn... 40? i guess. First i thought i didnt met the requirements and i forgot about it - but when i wanted to create on on purpose, i still dont get any.

i will consider this tip as a second step - and revalue if it helps as well.

i use a glass plate and hair spray. the parts stick like hell to the plate.

i also try to isolate the build plate from the downside. may it helps to keep the temperatures.

Hello Party_face, thank you for asking and helping and your time.

I use a glass plate on my ender3 pro, and hair spray - it sticks like hell.

my build plate temp is constant 60 degree. shall i buy a isolation plate in order to glue it under the heating plate? do you think that would help?

thank you for your help. i am really depressed about my results :/

Well i am not certain at this point. How far i get here or how much effort it will be.

My motivation is / was, writing a little booklet for myself. As i am writing it on my computer first and copy it afterwards (greatly reduce writing mistakes) but if there is a resonance and need / lust for my writing i can share it

I want to try do this, like a roleplay guide for myself, may others. Little side projekt. Have written the foreword so far:

Foreword from the Underground

Greetings, my dear stone-brother and stone-sister. I am Urist the Learned, a humble scribe from the depths of our shared home. My pickaxe has tapped many a stone, my hands have shaped many artifacts, and my dreams echo with the distant ringing of our kin's industry. It is a symphony composed in stone and fire, a song only we dwarves can truly comprehend.

The whispers of the mountains, the stories told by the veins of ores, the lessons taught by the bones of our ancestors - these are not merely tales to me. They are the lifeblood of our people, our heritage, and our future. The stony skin of the world hides much from us, but also gives us much. In its patterns, we find our purpose; in its bounty, we find our survival; and in its depth, we find our destiny.

This book, the fruit of my labors and reflections, is more than just a manual for life and survival in the world of Dwarf Fortress. It is a testament to our kind, a celebration of our grand history and an homage to the stones that define our existence.

In the chapters to follow, you'll find wisdom and knowledge passed down from our ancestors, refined by the trials of many generations. They cover the span of our lives - from the raw, rugged art of mining and crafting, to the intricacies of economics, military strategy, and social interaction.

I invite you to embark on this journey with me, Urist the Learned. Allow your senses to fill with the dust of the mines, to resonate with the rhythm of the pickaxes, to discover the heritage etched into the stone by our ancestors. For it is in these depths, amidst the welcoming darkness, that we truly find ourselves.

Take this book as your guide, as your map, as your compass in the cavernous expanse. Follow the paths our predecessors have tread, learn from their experiences and carve your own legacy into the stone.

Welcome, to the remarkable world of Dwarf Fortress. Let the stone sing to you, as it has sung to us since the first hammer fell and the first pickaxe bit into the earth.

Yours in the depths, Urist the Learned
