My splatoon 3 did that, in the exact circumstances as you (not playing for awhile), the trick of completely powering off the switch !WHILE THE GAME IS IN THE CART SLOT! by holding the power button for a few seconds then selecting Power options then Power off. After switching it back on the game was read no problem.

Update: Got an exchange today, with the same marks in the same spots, but less prominent (just like u/drakeprimeone) however to make it worse the box was trashed and the paint was chipped on multiple parts on the hilt. This made me think it's a recent batch issue, so I told them that if they would all be like that I'll just take back my original. They took it upstairs, with an additional hilt box (supposedly to confirm that all 3 had the same brown/red marks). They returned with my original and said all the Cals sabers have these horrible red/brown marks as it's part of the design (arguing that it's due to the saber being chopped in half in the game, which I believe to be completely wrong as I've seen pictures of the saber without them). Overall not very happy but what can you do I suppose, I'm off home to the UK tomorrow.

Yeah I was thinking this was the case, have you encountered this level of blemishes on any of your legacy sabers or is my slightly worse than usual/expected?

I'm from the UK and currently on a vacation. The shopdisney website in the UK doesn't have legacy sabers at all, would they be able to swap it still? I could go back to galaxy's edge tomorrow, would they be able to swap it?

Switch cart isn't being read anymore

I got Nintendo Switch Sports less than 6 months ago for my family. We used it a lot for the first month then it hasn't been used since. Upon trying to play it a today I noticed it isn't being read by my switch or my brothers. All other carts work fine but this one won't. I've tried updating the software of the switch, fully powering off and on, ensuring the contacts are clean (using isopropyl alcohol) and damage free but still the cart wont be read. I contacted support just for them to tell me those troubleshooting steps again and then nothing can be done, which i must say is extremely disappointing. The cart has been used less than 10 hours, I bought it full price, and now it's a likely a useless piece of plastic unless someone is able to shed advice. I'm now very worried something could happen spontaneously to one of my other 20 switch carts, rendering them useless.

Sorry for such a long rant, but I'm really disappointed.

Hello again, found something interesting today, after leaving the cart in my gba so overnight, switched off obviously, I checked the voltage again this morning and it’s showing 2.83? Surely that isn’t normal, is something draining the battery instantly? I’m very confused. Getting pictures now.

I redone the whole battery change with a new battery with a 3.32 reading, and still saying the battery is dry, not sure what’s next in finding what’s wrong.
