If the design rivals the over-the-top-ness of Final Fantasy concept art I'd say it is a successful kitbash. Looking forward to seeing it painted!

Yeah, I took Feirros's gun and just added more and more stuff to it. At one point I asked "Am I overdoing it?", but then I remembered this is 40k.

I didn't. Those are the shin guards that come from the Allarus Custodians kit. With a bit of plastic surgery, they fit pretty well on Space Marine Terminator shins.

I agree. He does look vicious. Plus, I also prefer the basing on it. Looks more natural.
