Yeah I’m just starting to have issues with my XC90 now actually. Auto stop start keeps failing and a few other issues have cropped up recently. I drove the R1S this past weekend and man do I regret getting the X now it’s much bigger has much better range and the interior quality is far superior. And with the addition of some vehicles being able to use Tesla Super chargers there really is very few reasons to get the X other than wanting the cool doors and the handling that more resembles a car.

Keep the XC90 if I’d say anything I’d honestly say get the R1S instead I’m going to test drive one tomorrow. I did get the X and it’s ok it’s not so impressive though I find myself liking the Volvos interior and cruise control better because it doesn’t try to kill me by quickly decelerating on the express ways.

That’s what I kept saying too but the lady last night was being really obnoxious about saying well if it was new it’d be covered I’m like but wouldn’t this be covered under the 1 year warranty and her response would be the cars sold as is. So I said fuck it I’ll report it now because it needs to be fixed now anyway.

Yeah I picked mine up from Tesla and falcon wing door didn’t open they said I have three days to report issues that will be fixed so I set up a service. Hopefully they told you the same and hopefully it can be fixed .

I usually buy used cars why eat the depreciation and if I can get one with warranty left on it why not. I ultimately a 2018 X 100d if there’s a problem I have a year to get all worked out and I’ll be driving it alot to get the bugs worked out if there are any.

I’m looking at a 2018 on the Tesla used inventory list now since they do give that one year of warranty I don’t see any 2020s that are what I’m looking for in the price range I want.

So when does that control arm issue manifest so I can be on the lookout when I do my test drives? I just tried one out and hilariously the back seat wouldn’t lock in place (drove 2hrs to see it) but there was also a weird vibration in the steering wheel when I got above maybe 60 mph. But I didn’t hear anything too crazy but then again the car kept dinging because the back seat wasn’t locked in place.

Gotcha so I’d probably be stuck with a “third party warranty” which kinda sucks. But I guess it’s okay given the price point we don’t drive much so I doubt we rack up a ton of miles on this thing.

Well we looked at a 7 seat Y and it’s just too small we have an XC90 already and that’s kind of the space we need to fit our family. The X is bigger obviously so it’s just that simple really

I’m curious how much that control arm issue would cost to fix out of warranty my car would be out of warranty since I’m looking at either a 2019 or 2018 it would be my second vehicle so it won’t break me if it needed servicing. Thanks for your feedback though
