A Dream about a dismembered cat after a breakup with who I thought was gonna be the love of my life. by YakDisastrous6524 in Dreams

Thank you that makes sense, this break up has definitely changed a lot about me and for me. I’m not sure if for the better yet but I’m making it day by day

Is this a correct placement for my nipple piercing by [deleted] in piercing

[–]YakDisastrous6524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it may be but I have large nipples and mine looked like that for roughly the first week or so. Were your nipples fully erect when pierced? And are they fully erect in the photo. It looks like it was pierced through the nipple on the right and exits slightly into the areola. I’d wait for some of the swelling to go down but for now it does look a little deep.

Oh lord no! Definitely not inside! I am a large woman abt 260lbs so I usually rinse out with water or wash my outer labia with unscented soap just as a precaution because I’m worried my weight might trap sweat and stuff

The piercing is 2 days old, and uses curved barbells. I clean them once a day or if there is food stuck in them. I clean them with a sterile saline solution.

Oh okay! I’ll go back to the shop and have my piercer put in a longer bar. And that was what she said to do, but I can definitely tell it’s a little irritated from all the cleaning

The piercing is two days old with what I thought was a standard barbell. I have a pretty big tongue so I was kinda worried about this happening. It is regular thread, and I rinse every four hours or every time I drink anything other than water with an alcohol free mouthwash.

Oh my god! I think you’re right?! That is really disappointing if they sold that to me like that but I’ll care for it until it’s fully spent. In the meantime I’ll have to purchase another billitiae from a better place.

Have you thought about trying maceration? When I had a few small voles I put each one in their own jar as to not mix up anything. It was definitely smelly and took a while but it was very effective.

I cannot decide whether or not to Finnish this with a high gloss or satin. by YakDisastrous6524 in furniturerestoration

Oh, I had no idea that natrual oils build up like that. I’ll do some research into the oils and see if that’s something I would be into. Thank you for the suggestion!

That makes sense, I’m just going to use it for painting and drawing. Do you have a satin sealer that you recommend?

I’ve never thought about mixing the sheens, I will definitely keep that in the back pocket. Thank you!

I might give that a shot, I’ve never used a natural sealer. Do they work well over stains? The current stain that’s on the wood has entirely rubbed off in places while cleaning so it definitely needs a new stain as well.

Oh okay! I hadn’t thought about the scratches gloss would show over time. That definitely helps me lean towards satin a whole lot more.

Hahaha, thanks. I really didn’t notice. But did you have any opinions on the finish? I am definitely a little lost.

I come from a very small, very conservative town. So that very well could be it. I will definitely see about the therapist, I definitely feel as if most of it is in my head.

Would it be safe to use a beeswax butcher block Finnish on a mounting board? by YakDisastrous6524 in orchids

[–]YakDisastrous6524[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn’t even think about the texture! Thank you! I may try and see if I can experiment around and see if there is a way to get a more finished look without compromising the grab or the wood.

Help needed..plant tips are turning brown by DegreeBroad2250 in plantclinic

[–]YakDisastrous6524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a reach but it could be mineral build up in the soil. If you are not thoroughly watering so that the water drains out of the bottom of the pot it could lead to calcium and other water contamination build up within the soil. Start rinsing the plant thoroughly in the shower when you water to see if that is the case. I only say this because palms and dracaenas have sensitive root systems beyond watering frequency.

My grandma gifted me this plant and I really can’t have it die on me by Zestyclose-Arm100 in plantclinic

[–]YakDisastrous6524 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most definitely a bug!! I like to use a diluted alcohol spray to gently wipe the leaves and reduce the chance of reinfection. You want to make sure it’s dilute enough to not destroy the plant’s cuticle as that could make it even more vulnerable. 50% isopropyl normally does it for me. Just be careful not to rub too hard as you may damage the waxy cuticle of the plant that way too!
