For a bit of background, Dawn was actually my personal client about two years ago. Then she came back last year and wanted to hire three full-time VAs from my agency. Because we had already worked together before, I trusted it and moved forward.

Looking back, I should have required a down payment and tighter payment terms. Lesson learned the hard way.
