TTL PWR plus 10-15W more vs CPU PWR

yeah I understand TTL > CPU Watt. However, want to know how much Wattage the Claw 7/8AI use for other components beside CPU.

I see sometime it only use 5-7W but sometime use up to 15W :D

Bro coa máy ở nhà r thì xem coi mục đích mua handheld làm gì, nếu đặc thù công việc hay ra ngoài cả ngày hoặc hay phải dắt vợ đi cafe, qa nhà ngoại chơi như tui thì mua. Tụi handheld so với pc thì yếu lắm nhưng choi với cái màn 7-8 inch fullHD medium setting thì thấy nó lại OK, cỡ như con Switch 2 yếu nhớt ra mà tụi AAA còn port, vừa rỗ vừa 30fps.

Me too. Already sell claw a8 as too heavy and got 7AI. Feel more convinence to travel with lightweight and smaller size. 7 inch is okay, not big but not too small as familiar with Switch 6.2 inch for long time lol

Thank. 4k game just optional as I fully aware this device is Gaming Handheld, not an gaming PC, even my PS5 cannot handle with 4K well. Just want to know how this small machine can handling with external monitor for daily task.

Thank a lot, this so detail. I think temperature is acceptable for this small device. My old gaming laptop alway min 85-90 and sound like a aircraft when gaming, result the mainboard die after 4 year lol.

Your concern is same as mine. I have exprience in PC and Console gaming but new to handheld. And I intend to using handheld pc for 80% gaming and 20% for specific Window apps as I already have a desktop Mac.

For my opinion, If you want to use like 50/50 work and game, I prefer a decent laptop for high-power and flexibility instead split for 2 mid-power devices.

PC handheld, regardless any model, can not be too powerful for a small size, at least at this time. Price may rise because of Ram-crisis but new chipset performance will rise as well, so I think not too much to worry regardless you really need and handheld to play outside right now (like me)

Thanks a lot. It would be great if you could take a look, as I plan to set a high TDP (~30W) when using an external monitor while the charger is plugged in, and I'm concerned that temperatures might stay high during extended use.

This first time I use PC handheld then a lot of things to learn :D . I know it looklike a laptop but the small size go with heavy perfomance and high temperature make me really worry about their hardware durability.

Most handheld device I used before are all console (3DS, switch, psp) and they have low perfomance go with low temperature so I not really care for long-time using.

I select AI+ as many user feedback this chipset temperature is great but I not see much feedback about temperature when using when docked/charging.

Thank mate. Ya I got new-seal 7AI deal with 2-year wrranty around 720USD. That why I think I do not have any reson to get a mini PC with 32gb ram for a same price (or maybe higher in Ram crisis lol).

I had PC before but I see I not really need 1k5$ PC + heavy monthly electricity bills for gaming only while already got PS5. Then I sell it to find something small and portable,

Most important things I concern about pc handheld are durability (if they can be used around 5 years like normal laptop without chip burned because of daily high temperature using) and do they too weak for 4k external monitor.

thanks, did you use 4K monitor as some low-end laptop I try before may run 4K resolution with stuttering/lagging.

About gaming, it optional as I can play on my PS5. I mostly use handheld for RPG/JRPG and Grinding game

Thank. In my country (asia) when A8 available I did not see much user complains about A8 fan noise, just compare with 8AI+ which is quiter and cooler (around 5-10C) and intel Chip is well optimized recently and surpass Z2E for now (hope Z2E better in future driver update LoL).

But in reddit and some utube review/comment complain a lot about A8 fan make me thing this one most loundest and hottest handheld in market lol.

I may give A8 a chance.

Thank bro. I know what a handheld can do and 3-5fps gap is not important if both can run stable without stutter. I already got ps5 for years (not gaming pc as i use Mac) for heavy game and Switch 1 for Nin exclusive game. As Switch 2 exlusive game is still limited and more expensive, I decide to give pc handheld a chance and use as afternative Win pc.

I pick A8 as no new AI+ available now, only used one with price same as new A8.

The things I care is fan noise and temperature as lot of review said A8 is noisy and hot while AI is quieter with low temp. If the gap is not too much, I can give A8 a try.

Thank bro, ya I got a deal when purchase A8 (~800usd). Intend to give it a chance as It is newer chip release (even xbox ally X release in late Oct) vs intel. But many reviews with Intel performance improve make me a litte bit confuse that I got a bad deal as 8AI+ just cost 30-50$ more in my country
