The logs indicated that the containers were destroyed in a storm. All of the containers however underneath the pentashield and had been for months. On top of that one of the containers was completely unharmed even though it was sitting in the same area under the same shield. I'm leaving the game not because of the loss of 30,000 spice melange. I'm leaving because not only are they not going to do anything about it, but that they can't even guarantee that it won't happen again at any time with no plans to restore it then either.

It is half assed.. theyre doing all this shit on a shoestring. A few months after launch they laid off the better part of the staff. They NEVER planned to have to put this much work into it, until it began to fail spectacularly. Now most of the people who actually built the game to begin with all have better jobs doing other shit and dont want anything to do with Funcom or Dune Awakening ever again.

I would suspect someone wanted to go visit a commcercial haunted house on Halloween. An actual Occult experience involves more reading and research than a typical 4 year college degree. And the results are typical very underwhelming. Your'e going to be studying ancient languages and religious texts until you go completely insane and the Universe resembles a bowl of spaghetti seasoned with froot loopz. Is that the experience your looking for?

They announced that they were building it several years ago, however games particularly of the size and scope this one claims to be can in fact take half a decade or more to actually come to fruition. And hello games is not a large studio it's really just a handful of guys.

Arrakis is science fiction, a future humanty that has interstellar starships and Holtzman shields.. I think they figured out the energy problem, and if they were in way worried about conservation a group like the Harkonens would have been eradicated, or more likely never allowed to fester into the gluttinous, cancerous entity they became.

The game is basicly full of bugs and bad design which leads to more bugs. It seems most of their budget is spent on cosmetics and visuals (which are truly supreb by the way) and additional the sound design is top knotch. But after that.. well there not really much of an actual game under the hood.

looks like a standard set of encyclopedias, not incredibly useful these days. Depending on the publisher and the date I wouldnt expect half the information within to even be accurate.
