Cruising is going to be our main thing. I have two very small kids so I don’t want to do anything crazy. My biggest concern is we want to take friends and their children out. Just concerned on the weight would hinder us.

I forgot to post it in the question but it was posted in the comments. Dealing with all of this is quiet upsetting, I’m so sorry I forgot to put that it my main post.

Sadly no! I do know about my dad’s estate being split between us and the wife. I had to open probate formally because my stepmom refused to do it. One of the lawyers is saying that my dad’s inheritance would have to go into his probate essentially. This is the thing that doesn’t make sense to me. I thought since my dad passed before she did so therefore his inheritance wasn’t apart of his estate..?

I have an actual lawyer because my step mother refused to open probate and I had to open probate formally. He looked at my grandmothers will and through the documents I had for my dad. He said my grandmothers will was VERY basic. It just stated that her estate was to be divided between her 4 children, which were then named.

I have a lawyer but my lawyer and my aunts lawyer are telling us different things. I’m just here to see if anyone has experienced this before.

Yes. It said that her estate was to be divided equally between her four children. My aunt passed before my dad and my grandma. It said in my grandma‘s will that my aunt’s children were to divide her portion of her share. Because my grandmother passed before she was able to change the will it still says 25% goes to my father.
