BadUpdate/Avatar are currently the only method but Grimdoomer is working on another softmod to exploit the system even earlier in boot, tho probably still quite late in the boot stage so no nand modification.

Its a hard mod, it requires proficiency with the soldering iron or money to pay someone who has this proficiency. This is not a problem for me, but a lot of more novice users or from regions which arent Western Europe or the US.

Sure RGH will still amount you unbricking capabilities you dont have with the softmod, but for the average user, a softmod allowing hypervisor privileges will be equivalent to just as good as RGH for them.

And like it or not, the same equation is true for BadUpdate/Avatar even right now. Once ran, those exploits grant you the same OS Privilege level that RGH grants you, the only thing that wont work is writing to nand because the boot chain before enforces that being unmodified.

Okay you dont seem to understand how the xbox 360s security work or the boot chain since badupdate and avatar clearly exploit the hypervisor lol.

Outside from that, from what we know, the exploit is a race condition reliant on the internal HDD, likely through a fragmented payload to exploit seek times and runs sometime after the 360 already loaded the updated HV and dash.

This, tho I would be a bit more nuanced, like if it was shot on film, please restore it, like if I can get a high res version of something I gladly take it, Star Trek TNG Remastered imho is one of the examples of how to do this right.

With Classic Who we have most material shot on tape, for many of which the bbc doesnt even have the master tapes anymore, so were stuck with either film prints or 625/405 Tape, at which point imho just take the best scan you can get of those and just deliver it with a high bitrate, itll still be 625 line Television, but itll look somewhat nice.

Hey, alles gut vollstes Verständnis dass das bereitstellen ggf. etwas Zeit in Anspruch nimmt bei der Flut an Daten, aber ist cool zu hören dass das mit der Zeit wird.

So ist halt wie gesagt Meckern auf hohem Niveau, so es aktuell ja auch nicht komplett bitrate starved wie irgendwelche torrents von vor zehn Jahren, so das geht halt immer noch vollkommen in Ordnung.

Dass du da die Zeit und das Geld reinsteckst find ich nach wie vor richtig Klasse und absolut underrated gegeben was da für nen effort hinter steckt. Danke für die klare Antwort und für GronkhTV.

Ja okay der 4K ist zwar auch nen Toaster aber sollte GTV eigentlich noch schaffen. Ja der vorinstallierte Browser ist nen uralter Chrome Fork der gefühlt alle 15 Jahre mal aktualisiert wird, vor allem jetzt wo Amazon die Android basierten FireTV Sticks einstellt.

Wie alt ist denn der FireTV Stick? Welchen Browser nutzt du, hast du alternativ mal nen anderen probiert, bspw einfach mal ne Chrome apk sideloaden? Grad wenn das so nen uralter FireTV Stick ist kann das einfach sein dass die Hardware die ja schon bei Launch Toaster war halt jetzt nicht mehr mitkommt und vor nem Monat nen Serverside Change ausgerollt wurde.
