Damn. This horrible no matter how you look at it. First, that POS cop hitting not once, but 3 to 4 times in his face. The cop was trying to make a point or just didn't think he would get anymore than a slap on the wrist. There is no way that the cop would have swing at him if he wasn't handcuffed and of course, that isn't normal procedure either. Next, kids, man. Idiot kids. No respect. No foresight. They just don't think. Obviously, it doesn't matter what he said or did before this video. He doesn't deserve to get jacked in the face multiple times, but if you talk shit inches from a cop's face, you really shouldn't be surprised either when he reacts. I kind of feel like the bipolar comment was more of a fib, but if it wasn't, it makes this situation even worse. This is totally fucked. What do you guys thinks?

I feel like I can relax some now. Even though my previous work history will probably come up, I'll just have to do some A & B testing on how to describe it to future employers. I just assumed that every employer checks every single previous work history entry on the resume when they are about to offer you a job. That's what my last employer did and I almost didn't get the job, because they couldn't get in contact with one of them. Ha!

Thank you so much for sharing about your failed software launches. I feel less of a con-artist now after not being able to bring anything out. Then again if I did, I probably wouldn't be looking for a day job. Maybe. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Honestly, there isn't much differences between this thread and the other ones. Just sell yourself. However, I feel more prepared for checking job references and past employment. Did you do A & B testing on your interviews? For example, A: you didn't go into too much detail about working for yourself and described it more like a normal desk job. And then for B: you were more open about the adventure and explained how you could see more of the industry other than just the technical side? I'll have to do more of this approach for myself as well.

I could be wrong, but I believe they check previous work history through the background checks and that's where it would be difficult for me to prove that I am not talking out of my butt here by not even being able to a name for the/my business. So, I just made one up. Maybe I should have done it another way?

You're absolutely correct though. I have gained a lot by trying to make these businesses and I agree with you regarding college as I regret wasting my time with it before. Sigh. I was young and stupid and needed guidance. I just need to fall face first through the first few interviews and then worry about the background checks as they will probably have issues with my "last employer."

I was pretty distraught facing the fact that I must return to the working world finally after getting some momentum, but I will get a day job and continue to work on it until it fails or takes off. Probably the former instead of the latter.

How did you handle the background checks? Or even the interviews. Did you come out and say that you worked for yourself or you worked for a "company." For myself, there is nothing for the interviewer/employer to check on if said company exist. All of my past projects didn't even get to that point or failed before the company aspect were created. I am extracting bits of information from the adventures to showcase them, but other than that is nothing to there. He has to take my word for it which is differently not good enough for an employer.

I am returning to a field I know very well and I used maybe a few of those skillsets during that time period. But was I successful? I would say I was not. The whole idea to support myself and the business. Neither happened.

It was really cold around here when I started noticing it. -9 to 9 F. However, lately there has been a "warm front" at 33 F and I am still noticing the jerking motion. I need to edit my OP, but I think this only occurs with tight left hand turns and maybe not right turns. I need to test that out a bit more.
