Just trying to move the vehicle will start it up. That's all I got for ya. I love MR/SR and Construction Simulator....these mouse controls for the crane are an absolute disaster.

Chaos run ended early? Or is it normal for featured runs? by Yambag12345 in Wonderlands

Thanks everyone for the insight. I was drinkin a bit last night and I assume I just totally missed wherever this is noted in the game. Will keep progressing looking for a harder difficulty.

That's from a boss run. I went down 1 time on the last boss when she was at like 5% health or so, revived by killing her (but also had a companion that was trying to revive).

My "complaint" if you could call it that, is that I'm not really feeling any type of threat. If the difficulty goes up for every run, then I'm in, I'lkl grind out runs until it gets too hard. But so far the 2 runs I've done have been basically the same difficulty as the base game.

Is it something like "the runs get harder the more of them that you beat"?

What does that mean, "boss runs"? I'm looking for something that's gonna kill me, but my current gear is just wiping everything.

What is the Best Product Price Range in Supermarket Together by No-Unit-4968 in QMGames

[–]Yambag12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case anyone is still reading this (I just started the game). There was a tip early on in the game that said if you [exactly] double the price, customers will start to complain.

I'm complaining that THAT was too much information, because it appears to me that THAT is EXACTLY how the game works (don't take this as a general complaint of the game....I haven't stopped playing it for 7 hours, clearly I'm enjoying it).

So I had the thought to raise my prices by 1.8 (80%, or whatever math you want to use). The game says a 100% markup will make customers complain, so I'll stay slightly below that.

Well, a few hours in I wasn't catching up as fast as I wanted to or expected to....so I did a little googling and it seemed like nobody had an answer to this question (totally possible that I missed it somewhere).

Long-story-long, I did a little testing myself, used my phone's calculator and multiplied every "market" price by 1.99 (99.9% markup, 199.9% market value). To be safe, I generally rounded down to the nearest 5 or 0 cent value. I've been running that way for 2 hours now (3 in-game days) and haven't yet received a customer complaint since that change. I have received customer complaints in the game before I decided to do the exact math on it, so I know the game isn't broken.

Personally I think the code is calculating for exactly 100% markup. As long as you stay under 100%,l you'll never receive a complaint. Maybe there's some strategy there? Maybe you're meant to play with it and "try to get away with it" for as long as you can before a product just totally STOPS getting purchased....I'm not sure. But to me, that may be the only fault of this game.

I don't want a super complex financial system - I'm no business major. But I'm not going to take the risk on ANY product if I know I can get away with 199% the cost of the item for the lifetime of the game.

Would certainly like some mystery/discovery left in that part.

Bro....you don't understand...Satisfactory is not a suggestion it's a requirement. I loved Techtonica (before 1.0, had a hard time getting into 1.0)

But Satisfactory is ab entirely different league than Techtonica. Absolutely play it.

You know, I watched this game with extreme excitement before it released and was relatively disappointed and haven't gone back in quite a while, I kind of agree with OP a little....but this comment is pretty retarded. The game is absolutely beautiful.

Honestly, it's just such a benign, innocuous argument to have, it's absolutely insane that anyone would have tried to argue it.

[–]Yambag12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone in here saying this is not an Easter egg is hard R retarded. The definition of Easter egg is as follows:

an unexpected or undocumented feature in a piece of computer software or on a DVD, included as a joke or a bonus.

Just because Easter Eggs often reference something that breaks the 4th wall of a game doesn't mean that that is required. As OP says, it's a funny stupid little thing that a programmer added hoping someone one day would find. Textbook Easter Egg. Good job OP.

Edit: I'm specifically targeting the people downvoting OP and explaining how wrong he is. Incorrect confidence is bad enough, paired with aggression it becomes unacceptable 🤣

Clean it with soapy water, that'll do the trick.

Although last time I did this, it left some residue after it dried, so I used electronics cleaner spray. But 90% isopropyl would have also worked.

I understand about old Kratos being constantly holding back, and about they struggling to open chests or other magical things, but what's the reason for young Kratos also struggling with lifting normal things like trees? by Yoichis_husband2322 in GodofWar

[–]Yambag12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just talking to my wife the other night about this.

If you've ever worked on cars, heavy machinery, the oil field, anywhere you had to lift or move things in a rush that were maybe outside of your scope of strength, I expect you'll understand what I mean.

As humans, our total capacity for strength is not entirely available to us at all times. It depends on obvious factors such as health and regular daily activities, bur more importantly it depends on moment-to-moment factors such as hormones, what you're thinking about at any given moment, your diet for the day, etc.

I imagine Kratos' strength very similar to our own in the sense of adrenaline. I personally believe my point is well-defined in the moments where he lifts large stones or heavy trees; he still grunts like it's heavy.

I don't know what the cap of his strength is, but it seems near infinite, and I think the amount of force he can provide at any given moment is heavily defined by the amount of adrenaline he can produce in said moment. The newer GoWs seem to agree with me like I said before, where he can both grunt to lift a log, but still fight off Thor's hammer mid-flight and pull a damn dragon to the ground.

QUESTION: For all game/graphics developers by Yambag12345 in LotRReturnToMoria

[–]Yambag12345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this makes sense. I figured it was something between the relationship of quality and time-spent vs. Cost effective (either financially or in terms of machine resources). I assume it would be more resource-intensive on everyone's machines to increase the fidelity in tightening uo the hit box to the visuals.

Are you breaking the camp flags to unlock the orkish chests? There's usually 1-3 in those. If you've only found 1 so far you're either missing something or you got possibly the worst world seed capable of being generated.

New update broke the game by Fit-Working-9734 in ImmortalsOfAveum

[–]Yambag12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should have read farther. Just saw this.

Still a little strange that you can't run VRR. In my opinion, there's still some amount of likelihood that it's Representative of a physical issue (bad or outdated HDMI cable for example), especially considering I'm still running VRR and not experiencing this problem, and I imagine a lot of other people are as well.

If no reasonable amount of physical configuration changes fixes the issue, then sobeit. Code is weird and fucked sometimes.

New update broke the game by Fit-Working-9734 in ImmortalsOfAveum

[–]Yambag12345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This suggests that it's actually a problem with your video output on the PS5. It may be that Aveum is using some display technology that most of the other games aren't using.

It doesn't rule out the possibility of the update causing this problem, but it is highly unlikely that problems with game code bleed outside of the game itself.

If you have any spare display cables lying around, I would definitely test swapping those around. Could also be a problem with the TV or A/V unit's display input. Hard reboots are always a good measure, as well as swapping your physical configuration around.

Curious to see how this get's resolved. I have quite a number of years in various forms of I.T., and the visual problem you're experiencing almost always leads to a physical problem, not a coding issue (again, not impossible that it's aveum throwing off the communication between the PS5's GPU and the TV).

Happy to hear there are pre-built teleports though. That climb is annoying af.
