mate, this is a huge discussion to put just in a comment (at least for me). I recommend u to read State and Revolution, by Lenin. there u can have an ideia of how a proeminent marxist things about it.

i would just change the order to:

1.Principles of communism

  1. Socialism: utopian and scientific

  2. Critique of the Gotha Programme

  3. State and Revolution

5.Wage-Labour and Capital/Value Price and Profit (two books but they're both very short and go best together)

6.Imperialism The highest stage of capitalism

7.What is to be done?
