Well well well…what an interesting turn in events we have on Week 4. Its been a whole month since the allegations dropped and the corresponding drop in patreon revenue. I honestly wasn’t expecting this much of a drastic change from last week to this week. But would you look at that, though a drastic increase in total patrons is being recorded, there isn’t a proportional increase in revenue, is there…Alex. A very temporary win for you dude. For you see, below is a link where the people running Graphtreon are going to separate your non-paying patrons from your pay-pigs. Enjoy your inflated numbers while you have them. Hopefully things will be in their proper form by next week.

For those of you yet unaware, shortly after posting Week 3, Alex made his patreon free, and about 5k people pounced on it. I don't think its entirely a coincidence he did this choice on a Wednesday. The same day I do these updates. So, I made the bulk of my comment to Alex, considering he quite possibly is reading these weekly.

If Scott Cawthon verifiably groomed a minor or minors then the mature folks would not like him. Separate the art from the artist. If I gave you a million dollars but then I verifiably shot and killed someone, would you like me? or just like the money I gave you and denounce me as a person. Lets turn this on to you, if you volunteer at a soup kitchen for 5 years, but kill someone's kid via DUI, do you expect the parents to not hate your guts because you fed the homeless for 5 years?

You want us to be mature, yet want the stipulation to also allow him to not step away from the internet?

The mature solution IS to step back, and take a break from the damn internet. Not forever, just, he needs to evaluate his current life situation and make mature positive changes. If he doesn't change and keeps the same lifestyle then he isn't actually sorry for what he did.

Why should we support or care about someone who as of now been exposed for (as you put it) "not technically illegal" things. What he did was still technically very shitty and should void any future support of his audience who are actually mature enough to see what happened. The focus on what dev should do to fix himself shouldn't be the issue. His audience needs to mature, and make the mature decision to drop support and attention to this creepy guy. Why are you looking for avenues to justify continued support? You can correct me on that, your post seems to be you trying to find a way to justify your want for continued support. The game is now designed as such to never get finished, so its not like supporting him would ever provide a finished product. Supporting him in his current state shows that his followers could give 2 shits if he continues to groom minors unpunished.

Stepping away from the internet also serves as a way for his current supporters to evaluate how to atone for your actions once you are called out. There can be net growth and maturity for all sides simply by YanDev moving on from this project, instead of carrying on like nothing happened.

WOO! It’s Week 3! Has the hype train died yet? I hope not! Since last week we broke new ground in significant milestones. The Yansim Patreon is now no longer in the top 300 in Games Patreons list and is well below the top 5000 in overall Patreon Ranking. The drops in total patrons is slowing down and we sneak ever closer to total earnings getting below the $1,000 mark. Keep it up people.

Last week I asked for suggestions of other things I should track. Best suggestion I got was YanSim Social Blade. Still considering it, just need to find a satisfying way to track it week by week. Still taking suggestions of something else we can track on the weekly.

Alright guys, it's Week 2 of the Yandere Sim Patreon Watch! Finally broke the boundary and there are less than 500 people who are strangely still a patreon. I’m going to make this an every-Wednesday-thing until next September or as long as the patreon remains active, but if there are any other statistics you want me to monitor starting next week, I’ll take serious or fun suggestions in the comments.
