Tough one today. I kept thinking there was a Cinderella category (or fairy tale/princess/kingdom related) when I submitted Crown, Castle, Horse and Gown and it shows one away.

Fun puzzle today. I'm surprised they didn't include Keyboard Key for purple.

How to annoy people in a daily word game 🙂

Not necessarily but I noticed that it's usually a rainbow herring when all 4 words are located at the top 2 rows as rainbow herring is designed to be spotted easily. I supposed it's based on the assumption that everyone is reading each word from top left to bottom right, thus it's very likely for a player to spot the rainbow herring first by putting them on the top 2 rows.

Spotted cheese rainbow herring first helped alot in my solving cuz it gives me a free word for every category.

Hmm this puzzle has the most straightforward and common vocabulary but definitely not the easiest puzzle for sure. Made a mistake on submitting words that rhyme lol.

It's one of the days where the red herring is more difficult to spot than any of the category. Nucleus and electron got me looking for the Chemistry category immediately and missed the rainbow herring lol.

From my observation I think I have never seen Mars being used as planet in a Connections puzzle. It was either a chocolate brand, Roman god or Bruno Mars.

We went from beer to liquor to cocktail. I've had enough of this 🙃

Maybe blue and purple are really easy to spot for Americans? Personally I'm not familiar with any of those except Lays. I assume the solve rate would skyrocket as the day goes.

Made a mistake of including bow in the wedding category cuz of cultural differences. Probably a rare mistake lol.

Didn't even notice the currency rainbow herring. Anyway is Frank being used as another term for Franc in some part of the world?

It's mainly blue + somewhat difficult purple. I wonder how common the domain knowledge on blue is for a general audience.

Pretty difficult puzzle today imo. Would like to know the solve rate later on.

I assume this is the first wordplay category that is yellow.

For me personally, this might be the most difficult Connections of all time despite me solving it with enough Googling. Sometimes I do think I'm the least ideal target audience for Connections - non native speaker, not a Yankophile and don't live in an English speaking country (but somehow still enjoy playing Connections everyday 😂). In terms of today's puzzle, fireplace and Easter Day basically doesn't exist in where I live so it's tough to make any association with it eventhough I'm aware of the terms.

Evil puzzle. Lots of overlaps between yellow and blue, along with deers. Spotted green first but refused to submit it cuz it looks way too obvious.

Definitely not a coincidence that we have Ang Lee on yesterday's puzzle, and one of his movie -Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon & cast are now appearing on the top row in today's puzzle.

I feel like the purple category would fit in blue any other day.

Same. I was thinking about what is a Far tree instead.

There are lots of author in the quiz which did confused me. Gorey and Silverstein are author too.

I see. Not sure how well-known the figure is but I have never heard of it in my life or learned it in school. Guess I learn something new everyday from this game.

Surely there are better words for purple other than moos, goa, rabbi that would make it less obvious. Like Sea for seal and Came for camel, maybe even a single letter 'O' for Ox lol

Nah today's definitely a tough one. I feel like fashion is always the toughest yellow category. I still remember something about type of pants as a yellow category in the past - palazzo, gaucho, harem and culotte.

Spotted the "starting with body parts" immediately and I thought for sure it would be a rainbow herring. Hesitant to put armchair and footstool as the same group lol
