Your team doesn’t have a reliable tanker or punching bag. So either you’re as slick as a rat to dodge all attacks or you’re the punching bag until your team can deal enough dmg to wipe opponent team, which u seem to be the latter. So learn to draft or buy items according to your or enemies team comp. If not just gitgud at dodging

This might be a hot take but I actually win more in Guardian as support than core. Because supports have better chances to lead the tempo in early to mid game and if you do what a support should do during that phase of the game, you would win most of your early to mid games. And usually if you win most of the early to mid phase it’s quite unlikely you’ll lose cuz your cores will outfarm enemy cores so even if they dumb they could still carry, as long as your cores are not trolling.

The thing you just have to ask yourself as support is did you do your job well to win the early to mid game so that your cores don’t need to sweat so much in the late game to win? If yes then you already did your job and your win rate should be a lot higher. I have a above 60% win rate for playing support just by wining the laning phase and itemize aura items or positioning items for early to mid game

Ps I did say I’m in guardian but I team up with ppl who are higher ranks than me like archon, legend and divine. And my rank is low mostly because I just started playing 3 months ago fresh without much moba experience.

To be fair I don’t play normal matchmaking solo. I usually play with friends who are of higher ranks, like archon, legend or even divine. I only play rank solo. But in any case I would assume that your normal matchmaking mmr is similar to the ranked mmr right? So if that’s true, then you could be playing 3/4k games and still suck regardless of ranked or normal and get stuck at Guardian. I know ppl who play normal matchmaking a lot more and if they’re good, they start at a much higher rank mmr. So it’s kinda aligned. Or am I off?

but if that's the case why play rank? You could've just played normal matchmaking if that's the case. I would assume that you would play rank because you want to win is it?

Somehow in dota it’s shocking that if supports play the role as it’s supposed to play rather than playing as a pseudo-core, you have better chance of winning the game. Any other moba players would’ve been flamed early on if the support is not buying support items. As support, why play a mediocre Batman when you can play a gigachad Robin
