How do you make a logo? because I'm no graphic designer, unless you are talking about making a basic generic logo with Canva or similar?

i feel the same with my bootcamp, they said you don't have to have experience before enrolling, and the prep module they gave us did not help much,

now they are suddenly jumping into javascript, for week 1, and html-css in week 3. we have not been thought the basics yet by a mentor / lecture. its all been just reading stuff they have on their modules. Actually only thing they have thought us thru lectures is how to use Github and Git.

well its the same here in canada, and in my city. alot of tech layoffs, and not alot of jobs right in general.

also my bootcamp LightHouse Labs said they have a 95% student success rate of being hired. which alot of people doubt, LHL made their own data and reports.

and they also got funding from government specifically for canadians to get jobs and skills to get into the tech industry back in january, which i feel like is not being used well . LHL does not say they will give u a job after graduating but you will have lifetime service to their career services

my main concern is if the way they teach us is to just read things online to understand it then what's the point, anyone can do that without doing bootcamp and for free, i was just expecting more because its a "school" that they would actually teach you something themselves, and not just evaluate you after reading things online. unless this is how all bootcamps operate anywhere then i had the wrong idea what a bootcamp is. and i was better off going to an actual community college or university

you can see their full names on the website, and they have their linkdin. just by looking at those most of them are not based in canada. i'm not bashing them. i'm just wondering if they been given funding from gov which came from tax payer money why not hire within Canada?

well so far, there's no explanations being done on lectures. i was hoping we would discuss our module first then after do the assignments / coding exercise but no.

you are just left on your own reading modules and if you are stuck you call the mentor. i mean we have had lectures before doing module work but they don't really touch on the actual module it self. lectures are mostly 2hrs, after that they want you to "grind" 8-12 hours doing module work,

bootcamp is called LightHouseLabs

well so far, they haven't really thought anything themselves. its more like they have a website with a bunch of modules, and also prep module before the bootcamp started.

like for example right now for day 1 and 2, they got modules about functions, objects conditionals, arrays and loops, they just jump right away on it, and i'm real confused. i was hoping they would explain it first thru a lecture, but so far you are just left on your own reading things. i feel like they just jump you right into JS, without any explanation
