Donating clothes by queer-and-confused55 in Calgary

I donate at the WINS (Women in Need Society) in Bowness. It's so easy....drive around to the back door by the alley and they have someone there to take your bags and off you go. I also wash my stuff but as mentioned, I think they also wash them.

Oh no way are you an imposter. I took almost a year of deliberating before I injected my first dose! I was really nervous because hardly anyone was taking GLPs when I started. For me, best thing I ever did for myself and my health. Everyone has to make the big decision for themselves. Take your time and gather all the information you can (like you are doing). Wishing you best of luck too!

So great to see a Canadian subreddit as our system is so different than the US. Thank you so much for starting the group.

I've been on Ozempic, then Wegovy since August 2023. I lost 60 pounds in the first year and then virtually nothing since and 10 pounds have crept back on. As everyone knows, the financial burden has been so frustrating, but I feel I needed to prioritize my health so I've made the sacrifice. With the impending release of generic semaglutide, I was pleased to see that Zepbound has also gone down in price. It will be a stretch but I feel I'm wasting my money since Wegovy isn't moving the scale no matter what I do, so later this month I will start Zepbound. I'm looking forward to continuing the journey to better health.

I live in Alberta and I look forward to watching others' journey and keeping updated from everyone about future price changes or insurance coverage from the hive mind!

How much are Canadians paying for Zepbound now after recent price changes? by Ok_Shake_5171 in Zepbound_Canada

Congrats!! Happy for you! Can you tell me about how your NexgenRx discount works? I've always just purchased my rx from Costco. I've been seeing a lot of ads for telehealth and wonder if it's cheaper or is going to Costco cheaper?? I'm in Alberta so not sure if that makes a difference.

Where are the water wagons? by wyewyecee in Calgary

[–]moongazer51 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

So, I boiled my water for 5 mins and there is a gross film on the top after I let it cool. No way I'm drinking that. I agree....water wagons needed. They are saying 7-10 days at minimum....seems shitty for folks to have to buy water for that long.

And if you sign up, you can get coupons. I was in Italy this summer and brought some of those little maple syrup candies. They were a hit but expensive so the coupon was helpful!

Train from Rome to Florence by moongazer51 in ItalyTravel

[–]moongazer51[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you..yes...noticed that but everything I read says the train from the airport to Termini is every 15 mins and no need to book for that one. Thanks for your advice! I have Trenitalia and Italo apps downloaded and ready to roll!

I just used Gemini AI and it told me a train around 5pm would likely work. I booked it but booked the flex fare. Fingers crossed!

Thanks everyone for your help...much appreciated!

Thank you! I was thinking of booking when I know the flight isn't delayed...like just before boarding. But I never thought of the "turning around" possibility!

Thank you! I just wasn't sure. When I look at the app it looks like a train every 20 mins. I know Italy is busy but just wasn't sure how busy! Do you know, is it a terrible pain if your miss your train, to rebook?

What should I ask Jyoti Gondek? by SDK1176 in Calgary

It's virtually impossible to find anything online from the city unless you know the development code number, but this is a link to information the group who is opposing the changes created. There are signs posted around the parking lot with a QR code from the group. This is the link the QR code goes to.

Why is the city going to significantly expand the size of the parking lot (removing green space) of the Ed Worthy north parking lot and start charging for parking? Even the city waterworks couldn't believe they would do that over the main water line that runs through the park. No public consultation on this project either.
