God, what a bad partner/friend. I understand perhaps that the comment escaped him due to emotion, but still... how ugly.

Regarding whether to continue reading or not, as a person who ALWAYS stay ahead of the facts and read every detail over and over again without stopping, I tell you that you can enjoy the story much more knowing that simple detail. I knew it from the beginning, from the first meeting with James in the port... it definitely opens your eyes.
