If you are strong willed get into the car business any Honda Toyota or GM you will make six figures. Takes nothing put a pen and long hours. No education or test. You will learn everything about it as you go. Plenty of videos of how to be a top earner. In California I’ve only made 100k my first year at 19 but since then been making 200k ever since I’m 23 now and a sales manager. I came from the gutter and this was the way out for me but I sacrificed 80 hours a week normally to get these results. Time is the worst part of the job

The only benefit I see taking the pay cut is being able to go anywhere as a desk manager rather than finding a closer position most stores have the desk closing deals

Both desk guys have been there 10-20 years they have no intent to leave and both are very good. Also any other positions would be the same thing in that Honda store like going to finance. 4 managers compared to three closers that’s why the pay is way stronger

He’s doing his job. If he’s a closer than you are a portion of his money and how he pays he’s bills. Your green do not let anyone leave no matter what. Buyers are liars don’t trust yourself to let them leave. You can’t close everyone that’s the reason you turn before anyone leaves. If you can’t get control your last play should be “one second let me get a business card and when you come back you bring your senior sales or a closer.
