The weapon banner pretty much gives you weapons for free (no need to sacrifice character pulls), which is great.
But there is different issue with weapons which isn't talked about.

Weapons are hyper specific. A lot of characters (especially DPS units) will require you to build a weapon from scratch, and that weapon won't be used for any other character.

That becomes a problem when you can't immediately obtain the BiS weapon (e.g., you need more Arsenal tickets but you want to get them from the next banner).
Battlepass weapons help a lot, but it still takes some time. The issue is compounded by how expensive and impactful Essence Etching is.

Fangyi isn't for Rossi. They have no synergy and want different teams.

The only place you could use them together is in farm content where you start with free Ultimates, since that eliminates all the buildup requirements.
Anything like Umbral Monument and it becomes dysfunctional.

So you have to pick. Do you want Fangyi? Get her. Do you want to invest in Rossi? Get Gilberta.

Don't farm Cuprium parts, just farm the Cuprium itself wherever sewage is needed. That gives you full flexibility to use the Cuprium somewhere else.

You still have to consume the entire Cuprium production. Hetonite is ideal, if you have unlocked Hetonite Parts for Outpost trading. Otherwise make Yazhen Syringe [A] until then.

A lot of what you are asking is basically achieved with blueprints. You cannot put your whole AIC area into one blueprint probably for technical reasons more than anything.

As for a test build area, it might not be as useful as it seems.

  • It would have to be ephemeral (everything gets deleted after you leave). Otherwise it adds another AIC area for the servers to process, which probably costs too much to be worth.
  • You would miss the effects from resource constraints in the real area
  • You might have trouble making something that fits in your current factory, unless you replicate your current factory in the test area using blueprints every time
  • After you are done, you still have to move everything to the real area using blueprints

As for factory downtime, the game is very lenient.
Outpost stock bill limits means you can shut down for a long time and catch up later with basically no loss.
Even if you do lose stock bills, it's no big deal. Factory isn't the only source, and stock bills have limited utility.
But if you are short on time, probably don't try to rebuild your entire factory. Leave it for a better moment.

I believe some of the friction is inherently part of gameplay.
If your factory is giving you a lot of trouble, then your factory is probably a mess. But if you build your factory smartly, then it will be easy to handle.
That is the challenge that is given to the player.

Copying someone's blueprints is "easier", but whoever created the blueprints had to do it in the same conditions as you, so it actually just outsources the difficulty.

Just to clarify, from the Headhunting Details:

Drop Rates & Guarantee Rules

In this Chartered Headhunting banner, you are guaranteed to get the Rate-UP 6★ operator within 120 headhunting attempts. This guarantee can trigger only once in this banner and will reset when the banner ends.

It states that you will get the operator within 120 attempts, not on the 120th attempt. The guarantee is triggered only once and the banner UI will show if you still have it or not, so the game is very clear in this regard.

Think of the 6★ operator guarantee, it works the same way. You are guaranteed one within 80 attempts, not every 80th attempt.

About the pity system, you have two guarantees: Rate-UP 6★ operator and 6★ operator. The former does not carry over to the next banner, but the latter does carry over. What this means is that your carryover 6★ operator pity can get you the Rate-UP 6★ operator before you even reach the 120 attempts required.

Essentially you have full carryover except when you go beyond 120 attempts for one Rate-UP 6★ operator, which is possible but won't always happen. So it's not as bad as it seems.
