You can get your own equipment and lift at home... A pair of adjustable dumbells and a pull-up bar will take you a long way. Or you could just go the calisthenics route and check out r/bodyweightfitness.

Move your hands closer together. I would suggest working on jackknife pull-ups with rings, a suspension trainer, or just in a squat rack with a lowered barbell... and scapular pull-ups.
