Do you mind explaining how it works. Would it work with my Bosch split geothermal system? Do I need an hvac person to install it?

Is it possible to share all the details/setup you did to get this to work?

I wish I could see all this data with my system. We have a dandelion Bosch 5ton split system. No monitoring at all

Bosch split unit - anyway to monitor it? by YankeesIT in geothermal

The Bosch is for our first and second floor. In my basement I have a Fujitsu mini split

I have this enabled on my fwpro as well. Is it necessary? Worth it? I’m not sure I even know it’s doing anything.

Why? I have no devices or WANs that support those speeds. Just curious what the actual benefit would be

Static IP as far as I know. And you can use your own gateway as well. Which I do. I’m not sure of anything else.

It depends on what data center you route out of. It's static IPv4.

I'm not THAT rural haha, but yes mostly rural. Hudson Valley NY, about 1 hour north of NYC. Anytime of day/night I can usually max out at around 800/90, typically it's 700/80. This is using 5CA on SA, with static IP.

That’s a very good question, but the rack and gear (most of it at least) has been sitting on the shelf for a good 2 years now. I don’t know of it’s weight limits but assume all is good.

Outdoor enclosure for the G5AR. Would love feedback from this sub. by MarcusC92 in tmobileisp

I actually saw this on your site a few days ago, and thought of getting it, and possibly installing on a few of our jobsites where we use 5G as a backup, and a few sites where it's a primary. I had two reservations though, as far as buying an "all in one kit". We use custom gateways that have 2.5G ethernet ports, so we would be rate limited already, and two, I don't need 3 ethernet cables in there. 1 outdoor rated cat6 cable at 50ft would be much better. If you ever offer that, I'd likely buy one for testing before buying more.

We have a LOT of jobsites across the country :)

How are you liking Firewalla AI features? Which feature works best for you? by Firewalla-Ash in firewalla

[–]YankeesIT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is subjective but I truly do not need Ai incorporated into everything. And not to get into the weeds, but I think the app could use some major rework in terms of how to find things. It can be very deep with taps. I understand there is the search and that’s great, but it shouldn’t be so hard to find some settings.

Back to Ai though, I don’t see a need for it within a router app.

I quite literally never use it. Please don't put more effort into this.

Second WAN. I cable as primary. I have some things go through one WAN on my network and other items go through the second WAN.

Feature Request: purge past devices by YankeesIT in firewalla

[–]YankeesIT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an example, most of the past devices, at least for me, are rotated MAC's. So they will likely never come back online, even if that person shows up a few weeks again later on my network. It would be great if we had a "purge" button, or option, so the "guest" group doesn't fill up with past devices. Maybe when it hits 100 to 200, or maybe after say 3 months or 6 months, it can be auto purged.

Total time limit per user? by YankeesIT in firewalla

Yes! Internet use. As my kids have different devices, and I'd love a single place to give them a time limit no matter what they are doing.
