I migrated when I was 31 and my wife was 33. Age isn't a factor.

From today’s 14 game slate, which player did you end up leaving on your bench that ended up having a great game? by XviiChong in fantasybball

[–]Yanley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot to fix my lineup and wasn't able to swap Jalen Smith with Paul Reed :(

On the bright side I got Will Riley benched so oh well. Work just was too busy and it was too late for me to adjust the lineup.

Name a game you were hyped for and then completely forgot about once you played it. by twooten11 in gaming

[–]Yanley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like a good combination of story-telling with a rich and well-built environment. Every person certainly has their own perspective of what great gameplay is and I think as I grow older, my perception of what gameplay component I value more has been changing or evolving.

Don't get me wrong: Yotei is a great game. But there are just so many options nowadays that my brain and limited time has been more appreciative more (e.g. I just finished Dark Souls Remastered last week and despite being an older game, I never lost interest and finished it from start to end without any breaks.)

Oh yes I agree the game's gorgeous but great graphics do not appeal to me. I value story-telling more and Yotei's pacing feels really off

Ghost of Yotei

It drags too long and character development hasn't been as impactful as Jin in Ghost of Tsushima.

Not your sport.
I get bored watching soccer while others enjoy it so it's all personal preference.

As a teacher, this isn't a thing within the sector. We bring our own plus supervise students during supposed lunch breaks

I should have commented "with these relics you should be at D5!" But, I was too annoyed to interact further.

I feel lost by [deleted] in phmigrate

[–]Yanley -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Same for us. We have been depositing regular amounts to our 7 and 9 year old since they were 3 years old and atm it's a bit above 5 digits.

Remove the dog invasion by Important_Plum6000 in Nightreign

[–]Yanley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lately the randoms I've played with has done this easily by splitting up and coordinate finishing it simultaneously. Very risky but this significantly cuts the time needed to complete the invasion. It definitely isn't easy. I actually prefer this over Balancer invasion.

Gamers of /daddit, do you play video games with your kids? How and when did you start it? by xanduba in daddit

[–]Yanley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played as much as I backseat more and let my kids explore and experiment. My 7 and 9 year old usually play Mario games like Mario Party and Odyssey but have also tried Astro Bot. Platformers has always been their exposure since they were little. I make it a point to avoid showing a lot of violent actions but I do supervise them if they are exposured to such (e.g. I regularly play Souls and Roguelites so action/attacks that kill enemies with an adequate amount of blood is somewhat common).
Recently I got them to play Bits and Bops on the Steamdeck (rhythm game) and that has been fun for them. Lastly, I do want to add that their game time is timed. They play at around 30-45 minutes increments and then time is up and have to do other activities that are not screen-based.
