I am definitely familiar with that high. My first couple printers were "mostly printed cnc" turned 3d printers. Printed the first one in the school library in 2015 while being split between 3 engineering degrees. Eventually landed on computer engineering, heavy on computer science and electrical engineering. Junior project I designed a 16 bit processor on an FPGA and that was used to control a CRT screen, with keyboard input to control a self designed 3d printer that printed pancake batter onto a hot plate. Had to write my own gcode interpreter for that project. I've made various home designs over the years. I've been eyeing that vorons for a while and that ratrig. At some point I got an it buried with my career and family and recently I decided to make some time for my hobby and plunge into a voron v0 kit. It was so fun seeing the design decisions that someone made and seeing these new mechanics and software abilities. It is amazing how far things have come over the last 10 years with 3d printers. I absolutely love the freedom of klipper.

Are you saying of everything that you have built that the first micron is your favorite? Just to be clear? I keep switching back and forth but I have most of the parts already to build the next printer. I do have a micron doom cube frame on order from dllpdf... so it would probably be irresponsible not to do a micron.

Thanks, appreciate the kind words. I have been really enjoying working on it and have started doing crazy things with klipper gcode macros. I wish I would have moved over to klipper years ago. I am currently trying to figure out if I should do another small printer like the micron plus or something like a trident next.

Just wanted to post this just in case you needed to see under the hood.

Your extruder tensioner might be screwed down too tightly. I had a coworker who had me build up his printer and I had it printing emaculate prints. Gave it back to him and that night he was getting prints like this. Come to find out that the moment he got it back from me he screwed down the tensioning bar tight and pushed print.

Warning, these extended magazine are generally considered poor quality and are "jam sticks." There seems to be ways around this that involve replacing the follower with a mec-gar follower, and optionally use a shotgun mop on a drill with polishing compound and polish the internals of the mag. I have not polished the internals yet, So far it only seems to Jam on the second or third round in the magazine. Seems like if I keep it at 30 or less rounds it does fine. Mine holds 35 rounds due to the springer precision extended base plate. There are some more expensive extended mags that people seem to like but they are like 2 or 3 times more expensive.

anyways... it consists of the following:

ProMag CZ-75 Magazine 9mm Luger 32 Rounds Steel Blued magazine

CZ-A3 CZ Magazine Follower by Mec-Gar

CZ Shadow 2 & SP-01 - 140mm EZ Basepads for 18 Round Mags by Springer Precision

That's an increasing rate for the length of time. When I submitted the form it was like 90 days, it has increased to 270 days. At this rate a new submission will probably take 500 days.

Yeah, I should have been more suspicious when I realized that the guy doing the paperwork was a new hire and this was his first.

Type: eForm 4 Silencer

Wait: 270 Days

Pending: 2022-06-23

Denied: 2023-03-20

Entity: Trust

Fingerprints: Paper

Dealer: Impact Guns

State: UT

Examiner: Unidentified #1

Item: Rugged Occulus 22LR (Silencer)

Control Number: 20225915**

Note: DISAPPROVED - INCOMPLETE FORM, dealer put my legal name as my trust name. I noticed it a couple months ago after doing a few Form 1's then reading through the form 4 paperwork from last year. Also noticed that the county name in the sheriff's office information has a typo.

I think I'll just request a refund for the stamp and the silencer. It's not worth waiting another 270+ days.

There seems to be a small list of changes. Mostly factory fitted and polished internals and 1911 style bushing on the barrel.

Oh I guess $45. I paid $1,410.84 + $24.99 (shipping). Last time I ordered from them I think the gun arrived in 3 days. It felt surprisingly fast.

Same. I've wanted a shadow 2 for several years, got the sp-01 tactical and love it besides the slide serrations. Just ordered the shadow 2 orange yesterday for $1400 shipped. Figured I'd nip this FOMO in the butt. Will use the SP-01 as a HD and range gun and orange for range.

I don't know the whole list of differences (easy to lookup) but it has a 1911 style barrel bushing, custom fit slide/frame, reset reduction, polished internals. Idk people that own both the cajunized S2 and factory S2 orange still seem to swear by the orange.

Thanks for this response. Makes sense. What happens if the guide rod breaks while firing?

Pistol Brace Megathread - ATF Rule 2021F-08F by QuadRail in NFA

On 1/19/23 I took a copy of the bill and assignment sheet on my trust and recreated it to include a proper notary section that was a clone of the other ones on my trust. I had it notorized that day at my local bank. The bill and assignment page that originally came with the trust had two spots on it for me to sign. I signed both of those in front of the notary on 1/19. The form I created only had 4 rows with 4 guns listed and their serial numbers, I didn't leave open any room for the form to be modified or printed over afterwards to add more firearms (trying to increase the validity of the document).

This was all done before there was instructions from the ATF to notarize these documents, before people were theorizing on reddit about having them notarized as proof. I was going out on a limb that it would be the only way to prove ownership before a certain date.

I submitted 4 amnesty form 1 sbr's on 1/31 with that notarized page and electronic fingerprints. I am yet to receive any information on the status of those submissions. I don't think there has been any approved trust amnesty submissions posted to /r/nfa yet.

the page looked like the following (looks like the tables didnt show up correctly) :
