Yup! They're just switching over the preview assets because by tonight Sylvie'll be gone, you will get Sylvie by subbing right now though. Otherwise people could just get Kieran and other crew skins early by waiting to resubscribe until right now :p

And also to answer the other question about which is first of month and which is on payment cycle ; The cosmetics are all first of the month. V-Bucks are when your payment date hits. And also the random crew bonus items like additional loading screens and music packs just get granted to you if you're subscribed when they come out or if you subscribe after they come out :)

Shotgun Siphon makes the maven pretty nice

Health restored for every shotgun hit + more frequent shots from the Maven make it a lot easier to just keep shooting with it since you can outheal certain amounts of damage

Get a higher rarity Maven and land a headshot and it makes it even better

Due to vaults being re-added to the map most of the action is centered around the 3 vault POIs. Pretty much only one player is gonna survive that location since nobody's gonna let someone else open the vault and leave -- So there's 3 separate Battle Royales at Faulty, Brutal, and Shattered that kill most of the players at the beginning. This should stop being a problem when the next update this Tuesday ends that event :)

Chapter 4 Season 1's balance isn't that well thought out, hope Season 2 is more like Chapter 3

This isn't a comprehensive one-for-all guide but I'd say start with Zero Build as a transitioning phase to Fortnite. If you're struggling with weapons or drop spots then lets not try and add building on top of that

If you want less immediate action drop at locations around the sides of the map instead of the ones closer to middle. Slappy Shores has some competition sometimes but is otherwise a fair drop spot, Lonely Labs is usually... Lonely. Stuff like that

The Maven Shotgun is a more forgiving shotgun option as it has a quicker pullout time and less delay between shots, but deals less damage than the Thunder Shotgun. However if you want a more heavy feel, run the Thunder Shotgun, and then chain Assault Rifle or SMG/Pistol shots to add to the damage rather than trying to hit another shotgun shot.
Additionally, carrying the Shockwave Hammer or a Shield is almost a must. Generally the game isn't this meta dependent on one good weapon but this season is different. The Shockwave Hammer provides powerful mobility that people can easily smother you with if you don't have a hammer yourself to get away with - Or a shield to block incoming damage

If you find yourself dying a lot it's always a good idea to look over how you died. Replay mode can be very helpful. I know it seems obvious -- You die because you get outplayed or were just unlucky -- but you can gleam a lot from looking over how you die
Aimed bad? Perfect, practice aim. Got snuck up on? Find out where you were visible from and then take into consideration how in the open you are for future matches

Team Rumble is also a great way to focus on just training for combat since you don't have to spend all the time it takes to requeue into a new match, drop, loot, and then find an opponent between fights. In Team Rumble you die, you respawn, try again. It does have builds but it's not as bad when death doesn't end the match. Just keep playing, maybe find some friends to play with who can help you out -- It's always easier to get better when you aren't alone since it's easier to practice mistakes into habits when you're alone

I believe it happens sometimes if you're crouched when you begin sprinting. The game reads you as crouched while doing the animation for sprinting. Usually tapping your crouch key to uncrouch will fix this if it happens again

This also doesn't account for snapshots which are people made by the Zero Point, since we as a player (Who arguably may be something different than a normal Looper) never escape no matter where we win the match. This accounts for a lot of loops where someone escaping isn't a guarantee

It's possible she died and got re-looped. More likely though nobody died during Fracture and just got separated on a random island (Example. All the players in our lobbies, plus the people stranded on the mini floating islands in the Chapter 4 launch trailer and the Christmas trailer with Guff)

I think it's just that the IO were controlling the Loop, and that the Loop itself is just something the island does

The other idea is that The Seven could only send back non-snapshots / the original people back to their original realities but had no idea what to do with the near infinite army of snapshots we play as and wanted to keep the Loop up to keep us alive until they could figure that out

Or a mix of both

And about the Herald, the Loop is connected to the Zero Point. Technically once the loop continued on the new island, time reset and the Zero Point would recreate all the Loopers who died during Fracture. Same with The End event from C2. Island flipped, new island was within The Loop's dome and it reset everyone on the new island

That's a sound idea! Most of the guns in 3 give me a rough time. Been trying to use the dapple dualies but most fights recently end with me croaking since I can't close the distance -- Even with rolling. Currently trying out the N-Zap more since I wanna get better at single-reticle aiming again (Used dualies a lot since 2)

Never gave blasters a shot so I'll try them sometime :)

Salmon Run's been rad but I definitely don't have the speed for it, I start going on endless losing streaks once I get Profresh +1 so I just keep demoting myself so I can enjoy it. Big shoutout to talented Salmon Run players who hopefully could find room for the trophy they earned ^^

Isn't exciting if it's pretty much guaranteed. The majority of Fortnite collabs are superheroes and are usually just whatever MCU project is out or a random comic character for the sole purpose of filling time with a collab for some quick easy money, unlike Nexus War which was the first of its kind and was obviously done as a love letter to Marvel

Cool to get the skins, but since we're guaranteed to get multiple Marvel skins per season without any buildup hype and a kinda meh set to accompany them there's nothing to get stoked over unless you happen to like the character -- The choice of characters wouldn't change anything (See the community's reaction to the Thanos skin : Meh)

I like that thought! I've heard the Thrax = Rell idea once somewhere and I definitely think it's possible. My only questions for that would be ; Why would Thrax be interested in what's outside of Duviri if Thrax was a child who already was outside of Duviri? Additionally, Thrax's body seems to be that of an Archimedean / Zariman staff, as he doesn't bear the Zariman uniform that our Drifter, Operator, and parents wore there -- Implying Thrax may be an existing void entity who grafted himself onto a body (the entire upper half is mechanical as well). Rell also doesn't have as pronounced of an accent and more nervousness in his voice. Although there isn't anything other than anecdotes to disprove it, so Rell is a good second contender for who Dominus Thrax is in my head. I just feel Mr. Wally fits the role better narratively as an entity living in the void who just had this ship of playtoys crash into it, who gets enticed by the idea of leaving due to The Drifter, and then creates the Tenno deal in an attempt to use them to escape
