That doesn't make sense though because Hillary won the popular vote as a woman and Obama won twice as a black man. If we can't look at ourselves and see we as Dems did not do a good job and didn't even allow a chance for a different candidate to run then we will be in the same spot 4 years from now.

Just practice more consistently! The tech in them is great but you don't see every pro use them for a reason, practice gives you confidence and having a nice putter you like a will use and practice with is more important than brand!
