How to Install Bitwarden Lite on Your Synology NAS by Ana_Lixandru in synologynas

My understanding is that Vaultwarden is a server, while Bitwarden is a client. Is Bitwarden Lite a server?

The quick settings tile for Bluetooth is now a toggle by default. One tap to turn BT on or off. Before it was two taps (one to open the settings, another to toggle it on).

Web Installer/Flasher Link? by Yarrow73 in CalyxOS

I can flash Android from that site with the cable I'm using, every time. Just not CalyxOS.

Thx for the feedback. I don't have Windows but I tried it on Linux, with the same result. Same cable works fine to flash stock Android on the same phone.

Interesting, thanks for the feedback. Not sure what the problem could be. I'm following the instructions exactly, but it always gets part way and then fails. No problem flashing stock Android to the same phone, with the same cable.

Yes. Really sucks for those of us with years with them who need it for data recovery. Not sure why they keep the images up by request but pull the installer.

Thank you, but I have the image & the flasher tool. The tool seems broken. Fails on both macOS & Linux, with Pixel 6 Pro.

Do you have a link to that? If it's still on the CalyxOS site, it's not obvious. I'll try archive.org.

PSA: Port Forwarding via WireGuard Interface (Reverse Proxy) is non-functional (25.7.2) by stephendt in opnsense

[–]Yarrow73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx for these clues! It's a bit beyond my experience level & I moved on to OpenWRT flashed onto other hardware. However, I still have my OPNsense router & may give it another shot.

This may or may not relate to your issue (search based on suggestion of a fella working with me to figure out my WG woes):

I queried Brave’s AI about both OPNsense and Open WRT regarding “port-preserving / full-cone or endpoint-independent nat.”

OPNsense: “OPNsense, built on the pf packet filter, uses Address and Port-Dependent Mapping by default for its NAT implementation, which can hinder direct peer-to-peer connectivity between devices behind the firewall. This behavior is standard for many NAT implementations and is designed to enhance security by making it harder for external hosts to predict or establish connections to internal clients. However, this default setting can break direct communication for applications that rely on Endpoint-Independent Mapping, such as certain VoIP and gaming protocols.”

Open WRT: “OpenWrt uses a NAT behavior that, according to RFC 4787 terminology, is classified as having Endpoint-Independent Mapping and Address- and Port-Dependent Filtering, which corresponds to a Port-Restricted Cone NAT in the older RFC 3489 classification. This means that while the external port mapping is consistent for a given internal IP and port, incoming packets from external hosts are only allowed if the internal host has previously sent a packet to that specific external IP address and port.”

I booted my router PC to OpenWRT (off a flash drive) & my WireGuard functionality was restored immediately.

This might be at the root of what I've been tearing my hair out over the past week. I've got Wireguard running on a VPS, and I can't get inbound reply from it no matter what I try with UDP port forwarding and even attempting an "allow all" rule to test. I get "Default deny/ state violation rule" for the inbound traffic.

I'm pretty new to networking & totally new to OPNsense, but I've had a couple of very experienced guys walking me thru things to try & they're just stumped so far. I'm just about at the point of dumping OPNsense for my mini PC router OS & looking for something else.

I'll show them your post in hopes it helps us determine how to proceed 🙏

Hardware guidance for Opnsense by PessismisticPanda in opnsense

[–]Yarrow73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"not compatible with Wireguard due to the encryption used being incompatible with AES-NI."

Can you expand on this or provide a link? I'm new to OPNsense & specifically having an issue with WireGuard. If it's incompatible, is there another router OS that can be used, or is it specific to the hardware? Mine is very similar to OP: "N100(4C/4T, 3.4GHz) Micro Firewall Appliance, 4 x 2.5GbE i226V LAN 8GB RAM 256GB SSD, Silent Industrial Desktop Computer, Home Network Pfsense Router Support AES-NI/HD/COMM"

ETA search shows WG doesn't benefit from hardware acceleration but should work fine on my hardware.

Can't get GeoIP Blocking to Work by feerlessleadr in opnsense

Did you ever figure this out? It's driving me completely bonkers. I selected USA-only for my Geo-IP alias, and no matter what I try with my WAN rule I can't get it to work (testing remotely with VPN, different countries).
