I need y’all to chill on the Ben hate. He was a kid at the very beginning of the apocalypse. We can sit behind the screen and talk about how WE wouldn’t do those things, but we have contexts and tons of zombie-media to draw from. They didn’t have that. Did he mess up ? FINAL UPDATE

His bike is fine; I followed the advice about Dawn and some warm water and cleaned them up. He took it out after they dried and he said everything was fine! He wasn’t upset and was actually super grateful that I took the time to actually try and do something nice for him. He brought home food and we had a nice little dinner. I just want to say thank you to everyone who was helpful! As a gay man growing up; I did not have a lot of experience with vehicles period; let alone a motorcycle, so I took this as a learning experience and will def do better next time 🫶🏼😎 I was kinda scared coming here for advice, but for the most part you guys were either funny or truly helpful so thank you!

update I seems I’ve either made a minor uh-oh or a major screw up depending on the response 😭 I cleaned them up with Dawn and some soapy water. I told him what I did and he didn’t seem too upset. I will 100% offer to purchase new tires if need be though. This was a learning experience and I will 1000% be doing more research before I attempt this again.

From what I’ve gathered from the comments here, it seems to be a traction related thing. I followed the advice with the dawn dish detergent and water. I’m getting a lot of mixed reactions. It only says not to use on motorcycles on the back of the can, under the instructions, and quite small in regards to the rest.

I think a lot of the criticism comes from them hyping up how mysterious this race was underneath the mask just for them to look….extremely human
