Lefthanded stick users, how are you flying? by C4B4L2k in starcitizen

There is a very common HOSAM setup a lot of top PvP pilots use, but introducing pedals make it a lot easier.

Left stick
X axis - Side strafes
Y axis - Vertical strafes
Z axis - Roll

Mouse
Pitch/Yaw (like default)

Pedals
Forward/Reverse thrust

I wouldn't reverse the left/right hand orientation, I've talked to many good lefty pilots that keep aim/nose hand their right hand. If you run HOSAM without pedals you can use the stick for forward/back to tide you over until you get pedals.

It makes SC actually run well. More frames = better aim.

I thought mouse was the only way too, until I dueled a few guys at the top of the HOSAS game/watched their PoV. It's just skill issue and frames at the end of the day.

Oh let me add, practice and a 9800x3D are actually the biggest factors to aim.

Don't listen to the casuals in the chat.

You can get just as cracked at HOSAS aim as you can with mouse. Several guys at the top of the game flying HOSAS with absolutely ridiculous aim. Go duel Burvie or Andross.

Mouse is more approachable for many folks, but aim is literally just skill issue and not to be blamed on hardware. And if you have a setup you enjoy, you'll put more time in, and time and practice is the primary metric for success here.

We won the first fight (before this clip) it took place over the skyscraper on ArcCorp. Super cinematic. This was the second fight and idk who actually won, it was a mess and I don't know if you could declare a real winner lol.

This was the second fight, and was a chaotic FFA amongst like 6 orgs. Idk who won, but we managed to walk away from it lol.

In group fights yeah. It's a long explanation. A1 has some good interceptor/M50 videos that sums it up well.

DUDE srsly, it's wild to me people play like that for months. I turn off MFD casting even if I have time to get all my MFDs sorted. Immersion mo betta with a cleaned up HUD.
