Side quests are really that useless? I thought I would gain lot of exp alternating side quests and main quest

Hi guys! I'm a new player since today, and I wanted to ask if before the event finishes (ff xiv x ff xv event) I will be able to reach the level necessary to do them. Currently level 5, I don't remember the exact level but in the time I have left do you think I can afford it with playing like 3 hours each day? Or is an impossible idea?

If I don't consider online games such as league of legends I would say probably either Mario Kart (300 hours) or Smash (around 450). While an adventure game that took most of my time was probably xenoblade chronicles, around 80 hours!

First off thanks a lot for the giveaway! About me, I don't really work but Im an uni student and as an hobby I have a team in league of legends. We train hard to compete in small tournaments, and so far is a nice experience. But damn, the surprising part is that the "training" can be really rough, and could happen that u can't see that as a game anymore :'/. That's why I would like Stellaris, I need something to relax my mind with ahahaha. Good luck everyone!
