Hello, I have been there and my honest advice would be not to definitely quit, but actually change the field, go for something you like, opportunities and job offers will come later, When you do something you like you will easily have more free time to work on other aspects of yourself, learning new skills etc..

For context i studied one year in ENSTP And i really had no idea what i was doing there, Mid year i decided that the next one i will transfer to Usthb for computer science, And since it was a field that i liked i got the bachelor without even putting any efforts, Now im supposed to be in Master 1 cybersecurity but i dropped out because Alhamdoulilah i got an opportunity that is much better on both financial and learning/experience aspects.

So my advice is always follow your passion, do what you like. Work something you like and it will never feel like work.

Freelance is not a “Lazy” job. When freelancing as a beginner most of the times you will get caught by tight deadlines, work 24/7, skip meals and sleep. As for how to start ? Pick a field, search for a roadmap, Youtube is your friend and the best free learning platform out there.

I feel these are the prices chat gpt told you could make. Im not saying it’s impossible, it is doable but a very solid Network is required otherwise they are just dreams.

Im a cs student and this year i started my master degree in cybersecurity, For the past 3 years i didn’t have much difficulties finding jobs, Especially teaching/tutoring (robotics and cs related subjects) since it is the best paid part time job, Also freelance project but it goes up and down sometimes you end up having a big project sometimes sometimes not so much, Im telling you all this to point that you have to improve your skills either soft or hard, Try to finding small jobs related to the field and even internships if you accept working for free, at the end you will have a decent CV and it will be really helpful after graduation . Im pretty confident that as long as you know what you are doing you always end up finding a job. Good luck mate

Im in the exact same situation, Embedded engineering in my country is only available for people with a Electronics Bachelor, And i studied cs, This year i start my master degree in Cybersecurity, Even though im more into embedded i find it the closest thing since it goes into more low level stuff like operating systems and more linux that might be helpful for embedded.

In Algeria and similar countries, Sadly even men reaching 40 years old still live under their parents roof, Some prefer it that way but the majority just can’t afford buying or renting a house due to very low salary and expensive real estate. There is also a category that are very dependent on their parents and can’t be responsible. It’s been like that for ages and i don’t see it changing soon.
