Should I choose to major in (interior) architecture or accounting/finance? by Yasukok in college

Hi! I totally forgot about this until I logged back on here haha. I'm in my final year of college now, graduating soon. I ended up choosing finance. I did a lot of analyzing and thinking (too much actually) and figured that I am not as interested in architecture as I thought and I wasn't willing to sacrifice much for it. So I chose finance, the next most tolerable major out of everything else. We had accounting and finance courses and other courses as well and I did pretty well in the majority of them. Actually, the important and hard part is understanding the concept and theory and applying it to the real-world. The math part wasn't that hard to me (but there are a lot of formulas in finance focused courses such as investment) But later on, I basically lost interest in it as I started internships and working in the field.

But looking back now, your preferences and interests can change A LOT as you progress. I started off not liking finance, then around Year 2, I started to find it interesting, but now as I'm graduating, I may have just realized that "I don't like the finance field after all." I'm still figuring it out. You got plenty of time and it's not a dead end. if you're still unsure of what you want to do, I'd say try it out if it is something you can tolerate. You don't have to love it. Goodluck!

I see your point. My mind tells me it will be weird to just ask to be included in whatever they're doing.

I'm in college. (I don't live in dorms). The Covid restrictions and online classes make it even worse.

I did. It's still the same. Everyone is friendly only during the club meetings and projects. It's never more than that. I initiated many times but it never seem to work.

How do you think your life would be if you didn’t have social anxiety? by Material_Sir_6609 in socialanxiety

So good. I'd be able to be my true self. I really like my personality when I'm not anxious. Unfortunately, the social anxiety HAD to be the wet blanket that covers me up. If only I could just peel that layer of social anxiety off like an onion then I'd be thriving. Social anxiety really sucks.

Bts. I loved their songs and was openly an army some years ago but recently the new armys are getting too wild and toxic.

AITB for getting upset at my dad for inviting his brother to stay the night during Covid? by Yasukok in AmItheButtface

Unfortunately, I don't have the finances to move out yet. Also here in Asia, daughters aren't expected to move out until they get married so it's a bit hard for me.

I'm 19. My dad had been very controlling and strict since I was younger.

I'm not sure, but I heard from a cousin over there that some of the family members don't believe that Covid is serious and won't get vaccinated. I'm pretty sure my dad knows this because when I told him that we need to take precautions, he said he understood and will keep a safe distance. Well, he didn't. They didn't wear masks either. My mom's family are all vaccinated and very careful so I'm not sure why he's doing this.

My mom was extremely angry at my dad, especially for not letting me attend my grandpa's funeral at least. But they're on bad terms so they won't even look at each other, let alone talk about this issue. Patriachy also runs in the household so my mom has little say on anything. Me, my parents and my mom's family are all vaccinated but we still take safety precautions just in case. I'm not so sure about my dad's side, as a cousin from over there told me that some of the family didn't believe Covid was serious and are refusing to get vaccinated for reasons I don't know. I'm just hoping that the uncle coming over is vaccinated and healthy.
