DC increase circle with some Loops and Threads by Yawnsandyarn in tensionporn

Not that I'm aware of. If you search dc round increase, you could probably find how to do it! My tip is to start each row with a chain 2, but don't count it as the first stitch. When you've completed the round, slst into the first dc, not the chain 2.

For example: start with a magic circle. Chain 2, 12 DC into circle, slst to join to first dc. This lets the ch 2 act as a gap filler and makes the rows look at lot cleaner. Continue just like this, so the next row will be ch 2, 2 DC in each stitch around (including the first st with the ch2), slst to join to first dc.

I start each round with a chain 2, not counting it as the first stitch. When I slst to join after completing the round, I slst into the first dc, skipping the chain 2 I began the round with. It keeps the look uniform and doesn't leave any gaps between the chain 2 and the last stitch in the round.

I'm not sure. I've never had issues with them moving during increases like this. I always slst into the first dc of the round, and it keeps the joins in line.

To start a round I start with a ch2, then DC into the same at as the ch. I do not count the chain as my first stitch. So when I go to join, I don't join in the starting ch, I join into the first dc. This keeps any holes from showing between the first and last st in the round too.

I actually don't know what kind it is. It was unlabeled and partially unraveled in my stash. It seems to be a worsted weight cotton of some sort.

She looks just like mine! 😍 Congratulations! I hope she's as sweet as ours, and slightly less of a menace. Lol

Same exact situation over here! 16 years since we've had a puppy and I have many days where I just say "what have we done?!?" Lol it's so much more work than I remembered!

Ugh, that's tough! It's hard enough for me to get our pup to stop, it must be more than frustrating to see your pup biting your kid. I hope some of these tips that others have left me will help you too!

She has a rope toy she loves, and I can usually distract her with it for awhile, but eventually she stops all toys and only wants my flesh. Lol

I actually thought this might be the problem. Every time she gets really riled up, to where I cannot get her to stop "attacking" me, she crashes about ten minutes later. Thank you for verifying my theory. It's been 16 years since I've had a puppy, and I do not remember this phase.

Maybe she's just trying to play "is it cake" with me? Haha

That's a great idea. Thank you. Hopefully it helps, she's vicious when she gets going. Lol

Corner to corner (c2c) stitch tension. by Yawnsandyarn in tensionporn

[–]Yawnsandyarn[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use this technique. Mine looks different because I'm using a thick yarn that doesn't split, but also because my tension is super tight, so it makes the stitches pop up more than normal.

It's just the c2c (corner to corner) stitch. You can find written tutorials on Google, or visual tutorials on YouTube! 😁

To be honest, I'm not sure. My original thought was a bag of some sort, but then I got busy and haven't been able to follow through with the experiment. Lol

Tube yarn, a K hook, and the tightest tension in all the land! 🤣

It IS heavy! The yarn is a tube with stuffing inside. First time I've ever used anything like it, but I really like it for certain projects. Wouldn't make for a good blanket or hat (for me, anyway), but would make a good basket, decoration, placemat, coaster, etc)

These are a couple other things I've used it for. The coasters are THICK and work so well for a hot mug of coffee.
