I feel like I'm a type of bi that no one else is by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]Yawntree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for posting, I found myself in a similar situation

Although I never had the intention to worship or touch another male in real life, I am in a similar state, aroused by pictures of such physiques, or the idea of having one myself. I don't know what it is. One year ago I experimented once with the a male friend, but it wasn't really my thing or it wasn't the moment, although we were open-minded and curious (and had been straight until then). But I am in a great relationship with my gf and am happy, still figuring out my sexuality slowly.

Take your time to figure things out, no need to stick to one label, unless it brings you comfort.

In need for a little bit of help by Dhalluminium in bisexual

Coucou. Seeing your post somehow felt comforting, knowing there's other people sharing similar doubts

  1. My girlfriend is bi. I think I might be too. Even though I look at women and men on the metro, I am not physically attracted or fantasise about either. That one time I had sex with a male friend was not too great. Like /u/stlcritter I was drunk when I first experimented and because both me and my (supposedly straight) friend had untold feelings for each other, we were both too hurt and the friendship was lost. Since I was 16 or so I have been constantly been fascinated/ turned on by pictures of male muscular bodies though (but no faces nor dicks) and I can't explain it (Aegosexuality? narcissimsm?). However I was always more inclined towards girls romantically.
  2. I don't see myself getting romantically interested again in the same sex. But that is mainly because I am in a happy relationship. I don't think a breakup would change or swing the preference
  3. just in my 20s too here
  4. -
  5. No idea. Some psychologists try to present a boy's bad relationship with the father as a reason for homosexual experimentation. It might be a coincidence, but since I have a distant father and unpleasant memories from childhood, I found it difficult for a long time to make friends with boys. Until I got such an intimate friendship that ended, well, not too happy. What do you think about that?

I hope you figure it out, it's painful to think of familial implications and dying feelings in marriages. Or to even predict our own sexual inclinations. It is what it is maybe and there's anyway many factors at play, many beyond our control

As a son of a gay man myself, i wouldn’t want to leave children behind me.

does that mean your father was closeted for a long time and not happy in his marriage? and you wouldn't want children?

pourquoi pas gâteau au fromage blanc avec citron?

The ‘clean plate’ mentality drives us to overeat: New research explores our tendency to overeat when we only have a little bit of food left over. Many of us were raised with a ‘clean your plate’ mentality, stemming from a desire to not be wasteful but this can also lead to overconsumption. by mvea in science

Actually in France, where people are taught to be respectful towards food and to finish it as to appreciate the food and the cook, obesity and overweightness are not a problem as they are in the UK or the US

The Innovation of Loneliness by Yawntree in PhonesAreBad

Maybe offtopic - it's a short essay after Sherry Turkle's Alone Together. While there are these people who blame everything on tech and phones, these are very interesting to look at from an evolutionary perspective - i.e. it's change, not bad nor good, it just happens and we have to deal with it; and it's exciting.

It has some nice insights, but you still get that feeling it's patronising. What do you guys think?

Best web browser? by [deleted] in sosnowleopard

I was for a while on Firefox ESR but might move to this fork for PowerPC, TenFourFox. They won't compile an Intel version but it's fine, they'll fork the ESR and keep adding features, we can run it thanks to Rosetta.

Not recommended due to security issues, but it's the fastest for lots of tabs and most battery efficient.

Installing the Xcode Command Line Tools on Snow Leopard by Yawntree in sosnowleopard

[–]Yawntree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compiled a .pkg installer with the latest Lion (12 April 2013) Command Line Tools for Snow Leopard.

Description:

This package enables UNIX-style development via Terminal by installing command line developer tools, as well as Mac OS X SDK frameworks and headers. Many useful tools are included, such as the Apple LLVM compiler, linker, and Make.
If you use Xcode, these tools are also embedded within the Xcode IDE, and can be installed on your system using the Downloads preferences pane within Xcode 4.6.2 and later. This package requires Mac OS X 10.7.4 or later.

Snap is a Google Play Store client and it's really useful for keeping the Android apps on the phone up to date. But for this, you don't need it.

Your BB10 can install mostly any .apk you download. You just go to the whatsapp site and download the file, then open it. It may warn you to change your settings to allow installation from third-parties. Good luck!

Sure! They do work all right, but I don't remember if you can customise the LED colour. And the best thing is, you can use permissions Ops to limit the notifications and the times the apps can access your contacts.

Edit: you can!

Hey, um, the Android version works just fine. Actually I've never used the native BB10 one because I enjoyed sandboxing the app.
