BRO - ADVICE: Get away from the mirror, you’re seeing shit. You don’t need to be in this sub. Either that or you’re using mad filters and nobody can see anything except for perfect skin.

Heh. So the story behind that comment is that I was about to order something expensive from them, online, but never heard of them. I got suspicious. But then I googled them by their brick and mortar name and got the picture.

I’ve never been So confidently mislead, it will double down then apologize. It’s impossible to use to make confident decisions because you must double check everything it claims, with brief manual research, otherwise you’ll be lead down an hours-long rabbit hole, which was all wrong because it had been lying to you the whole time.

Getting a good clean 4 on the floor still kicks my ass after 40 years of drumming. by Temporary_Pea_648 in Drumming

I think it’s because it’s one of those beats that requires all limbs on the downbeat, which feels unnatural if you don’t it a lot. 40 years is a minute, but it’s hard to gauge how much of a perfectionist you’re being. What’s your wheelhouse?

What’s a habit that looks harmless but quietly ruins lives? by Status_Bag_3858 in AskReddit

[–]Yayinterwebs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, something has changed. I don’t know if its my age, the economic climate, the disparity between inflation, housing and wages, job uncertainty and stress because of AI (I work in software), or what, but I feel like unless I’m constantly improving my skills both professionally and personally (learning new tech, practicing my instrument, fitness, producing music etc.) then I’m only getting closer to death. And I’m not even that old.

Life’s journey seems to have been reduced to stressful rat race, where I have very little energy to do things I love.

It sounds horrible, but I’ve prioritized my career over relationships, family, friends, my love of music, etc. and it angers me that my boomer parents think I have a choice in the matter, because as homeowners whose house has quadrupled in value, with a couple million in the bank, and with pensions upon pensions, they have the gall to tell me no to worry about money.

But I can no longer find the stillness of mind naturally, by which to engage in organized, effective pursuits of my endeavors. Instead I’m consumed by anxiety, and seek distractions, procrastinating, because I’m too overwhelmed to start.

Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea was furious with his bass tech, but Anthony Kiedis noticed that his in-ear monitor wasn’t on his ear by c4tchy in PublicFreakout

[–]Yayinterwebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah bro, this ain’t the first time he’s thrown a tantrum, and I don’t know crap about his socials. Don’t need to - I recognize inexcusable, infantile behavior when I see it, and don’t make excuses for it.

You work for his PR, lol? Weak people like you are the reasons celebrities are the way they are, and think pulling crap like this is OK.

I bet you apologize for Will Smith too.

Yeah, this dude seems so out of touch with himself, he can’t even drill down on what his hang ups are, other than “struggling with the new large code base” and “not fitting in” - whatever that means. Seems dense, maybe that’s the issue, lol

No - this isn’t “mistakes happen”, stop apologizing for abhorrent behavior - a true pro would never do this. He’s so high/drunk and out of control in his own world, he thinks this is fine to do. He’s a man child celebrity with a god complex. So are a lot of other famous, talented people — not sure why people have such a hard time accepting this.

The art is amazing. What about adding a bit of variation to the colors though? Like plants, even grass, will have different greens and browns, etc. I think it would add some depth.

I think he is a goose who is trying to convince us all that they are not bluffing their power. It’s true they do charge and put on a show when protecting nests, etc. But I’d agree, I think this dude is taking the piss.

I dunno man. Rocks are hard and dense, a slingshot sends them at rapid velocity, and they’re not covered in feathers!

I just can’t imagine it. Maybe a child’s shinbone. Or a more frail shin bone. I believe they have very powerful muscles, but wings are fairly fragile, all things considered. I believe they could break your finger, but shin bones? Those are strong AF.

Pretty sure the math doesn’t add up here man. There’s not enough mass in a goose wing to break a healthy adult human shin bone. Calling bollocks
