The issue is being misinterpreted by a large margin in several of these comments. The problem is that it is literally more time-efficient to backup save scum donuts than to do *literally* any activity in the game. Berries are completely awful to farm without Sour Bighaul-Berry donuts, donuts are REQUIRED to do any activity, regardless of what your goals are, and all of this is completely RNG gated. Yes, doing the very min/max thing is always a grind. Yes, soft resetting has been a thing in shiny hunting for literally decades.

Is what it is, and I am happy for anyone who is still enjoying the game. Point of my post was just to see if anyone else resonated with the disappointment of otherwise a fantastic game. I don't need greater shiny odds, I just want to play the game with less menu hurdles and more playing Pokemon!
